Prince Jackson and Bigi Jackson appeared together at King of Popcorn 2026, held from August 28 through August 30 at Hayvenhurst in Encino, California, in honor of Michael Jackson's birthday.

When Imagineer Tanaya Amar met the famously private brothers, she captured photographs and a video that offered more than a rare sighting, including an adorably mischievous glimpse of their relationship.

A Celebration Returned to the Jackson Family's Most Meaningful Home

Prince and the Heal Los Angeles Foundation first announced the fundraiser's return on January 30, confirming that the historic Jackson estate would once again welcome supporters for an intimate combination of movies and philanthropy.

Hayvenhurst has a place in pop history that few private residences could ever match. It was the Jackson family's longtime home, and gathering there to celebrate Michael gave the occasion an emotional pull that a conventional venue simply could not have created.

Prince hosted the event in support of Heal Los Angeles Foundation, which assists at-risk young people facing food insecurity, unstable housing, and unequal access to education.

Kings Auctions Inc. joined the 2026 event as its presenting sponsor, supporting both the celebration and the foundation's charitable work. Hotel Angeleno, approximately 10 minutes from Hayvenhurst, also partnered with Heal LA to offer booking access for guests traveling into the city.

The initial plans listed two evenings, Friday, August 28, and Sunday, August 30, before Saturday, August 29, was added. Each gathering ran from 5 p.m. until 10 p.m., with admission priced at $500 for one guest per night.

Limited capacity made access especially coveted, while the event page stressed that visitors were entering private property and needed to respect the home, its staff, and one another.

There was another tantalizing addition this year: guests were permitted to enter an extra room inside Hayvenhurst. Precisely which room remained undisclosed, making the expanded access even more intriguing for admirers who have treasured the estate's connection to Michael for decades.

Prince Found the Perfect Way to Make Bigi Smile

Tanaya, whose bio says she's a fan of the King of Pop, attended the August 28 gathering and later shared an adorable clip of herself posing between Prince and Bigi. Seeing the brothers side by side was already a thrill, but the clip became especially delightful when Prince interrupted the formal photo moment with a wonderfully cheeky suggestion.

He announced that they had to play Twister afterward, prompting the famously serious Bigi to break into a small smile. It lasted only a moment, yet that flicker of amusement made the rare footage feel so sweet and revealing.

She added, "A little behind-the-scenes moment from King of Popcorn 2026 at Hayvenhurst, the Jackson family home, where we celebrated Michael Jackson's birthday with @princejackson & Bigi Jackson! What an absolutely unforgettable evening! 🤩🍿✨ Thanks, @heallosangelesfoundation!"

The brothers looked wonderfully relaxed for the family occasion. Prince, 29, wore a black baseball cap with a black crewneck T-shirt bearing a colorful graphic and "Heal Los Angeles Foundation" lettering.

He completed the easygoing outfit with black drawstring shorts and dark sneakers. Bigi, 24, chose a navy graphic T-shirt featuring a shark and the words "Quint's Shark Fishing," along with dark cargo shorts, white crew socks, and black sneakers.

Their rare appearance together immediately made the images special, but their contrasting energy was impossible to miss. Prince looked cheerful and playful, while Bigi retained the reserved expression that fans have come to recognize, right until his brother managed to coax out that lovely little grin.

Fans Read an Entire Brotherly Dynamic Into the Clip

The brief exchange inspired affectionate teasing from viewers who felt they understood exactly what was happening between the siblings. On Instagram, one commenter focused on Bigi's guarded appearance and wrote, "Poor Bigi He looks so uncomfortable [sic]."

Someone else found his visible reluctance completely relatable, commenting, "Bigi always looks irritated; he be wanting no parts of anything. Also me 😭😭 [sic]."

Another admirer believed his willingness to participate despite appearing uneasy made him even more endearing. The person wrote, "I admire Bigi so much. He doesn't want to be there so bad, but still attends every event 😭❤️."

Prince's Twister remark also convinced one viewer that some classic sibling mischief was unfolding before the camera. They joked, "Prince is so messy, he definitely be getting Bigi’s nerves 🤣🤣🤣 [sic]."

Others were charmed by the older brother's warmth. One commenter declared, "Prince seems so kind and down to earth!"

Another compared the brothers' public personalities with their father's, writing, "No comparison between Bigi and Michael, I'd rather Prince anytime! He's got Michael's charm, love for his fans and is always smiling or laughing with people who want pics. That's how Michael was."

Whatever Bigi may have been feeling, he showed up beside Prince for an event honoring their father and helping vulnerable young people.

Guests Stepped Into Memories That Still Felt Almost Alive

Tanaya's second photo collection revealed just how extraordinary the rest of the night had been. Aside from meeting both brothers, she explored areas of Hayvenhurst and saw the entrance to Michael's home studio, a doorway carrying an almost overwhelming amount of musical history.

She also recognized locations featured in the 2026 biopic "Michael" before watching the film outside on the estate's lawn. The celebration concluded with the cutting of a white-glove birthday cake, an unmistakable tribute to one of the King of Pop's most iconic accessories.

Tanaya described the experience in deeply emotional terms: "Last Friday, I had the unforgettable experience of celebrating Michael Jackson's birthday inside Hayvenhurst - the Jackson family home ♥️✨."

"Meeting @princejackson and Bigi Jackson at King of Popcorn 2026 and spending the evening at Hayvenhurst was truly surreal," she continued.

She thanked Heal LA, Prince, and John Muto, who had patiently answered her questions about donor membership and the event. Yet her most moving recollection came from a far quieter part of the evening.

"Sitting inside Hayvenhurst, beside the fireplace, surrounded by fellow fans and people continuing Michael’s legacy of service, was one of those rare experiences I know I’ll carry with me forever," Tanaya wrote.

The setting also connected beautifully with Prince's feelings about "Michael," which stars his cousin Jaafar Jackson as his father. Prince served as a producer on the biopic and admitted that seeing Jaafar fully transformed for the first time brought an enormous rush of emotion.

"The first time that I saw him in person, in his hair and makeup, was really an emotional shock because I had not seen my father in a long time," Prince told ABC News in April. "Jaafar just embodied him, and brought him back in that moment."

Prince wanted to hug his cousin but needed time alone to absorb what he had seen. Although the Jackson family already trusted Jaafar to handle the role, Prince said his cousin exceeded their expectations and called watching him portray Michael "one of the greatest experiences" of his life.

That affection was still evident when Prince attended the August 29 birthday celebration at "Michael Jackson ONE," the Cirque du Soleil production at Mandalay Bay in Las Vegas. Michael, who died in 2009 when Prince was 12, would have turned 68 that day.

"It has been so special for me to see the impact that this film has had," Prince told People. "It is really cool to see this new generation become exposed to his music and his message, and I am hopeful it will make the world a better place."

Those words captured the heart of King of Pop just as beautifully as the photographs did. Inside the home where so much Jackson history lives, Prince and Bigi celebrated their father through laughter and service, while one very lucky guest preserved the glowing, intimate images fans rarely get to see.
