The exchange soon became more personal. Catherine moved closer and wrapped her arms around the woman in a tight embrace, which the woman returned as both appeared to smile.

Their interaction continued after the hug. Still holding the bouquet, Catherine stood beside the woman for a photograph, and the pair remained close as they posed together.
