Taylor Swift and Selena Gomez Enjoy a Night Out Together in NYC – Photos
The two songstresses were seen leaving a bar in Manhattan in different vehicles, and fans couldn't help but notice one subtle detail on Taylor Swift's outfit.
The "Wildest Dreams" singer spent Sunday evening (June 1) out with her friend and fellow artist Selena Gomez. The pair were seen at The Monkey Bar in Midtown Manhattan, dressed to the nines for girls' night.

Swift wore a black two-piece set with shimmering silver trim along the neckline of her top and the hem of her skirt. She paired it with metallic platform heels and wore her hair in soft waves, finishing the look with her signature red lip.

Beside her, Gomez donned a chic, monochromatic camel-toned outfit featuring a fitted halter top and high-waisted trousers. She layered it with a matching jacket draped over her shoulders and finished the look with pointed gold heels.

Videos and photos of the pair captured them smiling and in good spirits as they headed to their respective cars. As the images circulated online, fans began pointing out a bump under Swift's top.

The discussion trickled over to Facebook, as one commenter wrote. "Taylor looks pregnant." Another observed, "Are we POSITIVE Taylor isn't pregnant? Her face recently looks much more full than it ever has."
Some were convinced that the singer is, in fact, expecting, as one said, "Taylor's definitely pregnant." "Lowkey pregnant? That little baby bump says it all 😂😂😍," someone else noted.
Swift's appearance in Manhattan comes after she marked a significant milestone in her career, which she announced in a personal letter on her website.

"I'm trying to gather my thoughts into something coherent, but right now my mind is just a slide show," she began. "A flashback sequence of all the times I daydreamed about, wished for, and pined away for a chance to get to tell you this news."
The pop star spoke of all the times her ultimate goal was just within reach, only for it to fall through. "I almost stopped thinking it could ever happen, after 20 years of having the carrot dangled and then yanked away," she reflected.

But that's all behind her now. "I really get to say these words: All of the music that I've ever made… now belongs… to me," Swift announced. That includes all her music videos, concert films, album art and photography, and unreleased songs.

Swift added that calling this achievement her "greatest dream come true" would be an understatement. "To my fans, you know how important this has been to me — so much so that I've re-recorded and released four of my albums, calling them Taylor's Version," she noted.
The industry heavy-hitter credited her fans for the success of her Eras Tour, which allowed her to buy back her music rights. "I can't thank you enough for helping to reunite me with this art that I have dedicated my life to, but have never owned until now," she continued.
Swift went on to express her gratitude to Shamrock Capital for being the first to offer her music rights, saying the way they have handled everything has been "honest, fair, and respectful."

She also spoke about a Taylor's Version of her 2017 album "Reputation." "Full transparency: I haven't even re-recorded a quarter of it," she confessed, adding that the project was deeply tied to that specific time in her life and she kept hitting a stopping point when attempting to remake it.

She admitted that it's the one album out of the six she originally released that she felt "couldn't be improved upon by redoing it." Still, she shared that there will be a time for the unreleased vault tracks from "Reputation" to come out, if fans are interested.

Swift also announced that she has completed re-recording her debut album and is pleased with the results. "Those two albums can still have their moments to re-emerge, when the time is right," she said.
She went on to share how "heartened" she was that her achievement has reignited conversations about artists fighting to own their music masters in the industry. Upon receiving hers, she also took to instagram to celebrate, sharing a short carousel of her posing with the covers of all six of her albums.
The post and announcement comes shortly after she skipped the 2025 American Music Awards last Monday. The event came and went with noticeably less fanfare, as the star power that usually lights up the red carpet was in short supply.
The 51st American Music Awards (AMAs) took place on Monday, May 26, at Fontainebleau Las Vegas, with Jennifer Lopez steering the fast-paced, two-hour ceremony. But while the show delivered music and surprises, what truly caught fans' attention was who wasn't there: Taylor Swift.

Her noticeable absence became a hot topic online, especially as she did not bag a single win. Fans quickly took to social media to share their thoughts, theories, and a mix of frustration and amusement.
One fan speculated on a possible reason for her absence, "Maybe taylor was gonna go to the amas then she saw that people tracked her jet so she was like 'you know what maybe ill sit this one out [sic].'"

Another fan wondered, "Surprised Taylor Swift skipped the 2025 #AMAs her presence is always such a highlight![sic]" Someone else took a more defiant stance, admitting, "Ngl i'm glad taylor didn't even bother going to the amas bc clearly they don't respect her [sic]."
An individual mocked the awards outcome, "Ofc taylor didnt attend the #amas thats why she didnt win any of her categories LMAOOO [sic]." Another fan theorized about the reason behind the results, "Amas were pissed taylor didn't attend and gave the awards to other poeple [sic]."

One commenter didn't hold back on criticizing the entire event: "The amas had got to be BROKE this year cause that event was a mess 😭 completely disorganized red carpet, hardly any notable attendees, and less than two hours of runtime??? lowkey glad taylor did not attend [sic]."
Another person raised questions about the legitimacy of the outcomes, "Amas results are all very fishy not even just for taylor but the fact no one even slightly big attended (besides renee rap) and all 7 major categories went to 1 person, which good for them but those odds are highly unlikely. [sic]"

And finally, one fan dropped a cryptic theory, "Alternative opinion but maybe bc they purposefully snubbed her - the amas are now the reason for no explanation there will just be reputation [sic]."

For fans who have come to expect Swift to dominate the AMAs, the shutout felt unusual, if not intentional. This year, the singer was nominated for six major awards, including Artist of the Year, Album of the Year, Favorite Touring Artist, Favorite Female Pop Artist, and Favorite Pop Album—all of which she lost to Billie Eilish.
Her collaboration with Post Malone, "Fortnight," was also up for Collaboration of the Year at the AMAs but lost to Lady Gaga and Bruno Mars' "Die With A Smile."

The AMAs weren't the only awards show where Swift walked away empty-handed. At the 2025 Grammys, she faced a similar outcome despite landing multiple high-profile nominations. Her album "The Tortured Poets Department" was up for Album of the Year but lost to Beyoncé's "Cowboy Carter."
Sabrina Carpenter claimed Best Pop Vocal Album with "Short n' Sweet," while Kendrick Lamar swept several major categories with "Not Like Us," winning Record of the Year, Song of the Year, and Best Music Video.

Meanwhile, Swift's only collaborative nod—Best Pop Duo/Group Performance for "Fortnight" with Post Malone—lost out to Lady Gaga and Bruno Mars' "Die With A Smile" at the Grammys.

Swift has been lying low lately, skipping several major events, including the Met Gala earlier this month. She and her boyfriend, NFL star Travis Kelce, were both reportedly invited but couldn't make it work due to scheduling conflicts.
While Kelce has never attended the Met Gala, Swift last walked its iconic red carpet in 2016, when she served as a co-chair for the event themed "Manus x Machina: Fashion in an Age of Technology."

While Swift and Kelce have skipped several high-profile events, the duo seems to be enjoying their personal time and was recently spotted on a cozy date night in Florida.
Even with their limited public appearances, the duo has remained a constant topic of conversation among fans. Swift, in particular, made headlines after Justin Baldoni's lawyer suggested she could be deposed in his ongoing legal battle with her close friend, Blake Lively.
A source said that the pop star is a strong woman who isn't hiding from anything. According to the insider, she's simply taking some time to enjoy being under the radar with Kelce.
