Gwyneth Paltrow's 21-Year-Old Daughter, Apple, 'Looks Just Like Her Dad,' Chris Martin, During a Day at the Beach — Photos
The daughter of the Hollywood actor and the Grammy-winning musician sparked online buzz after photos of her at a celebrity-favored seaside retreat surfaced.
Apple Martin was photographed during a beach day in the Hamptons this week. The rare public appearance of Gwyneth Paltrow and Chris Martin's daughter drew widespread attention due to her resemblance to her father.

The 21-year-old was captured running along the shore and enjoying herself in the newly released photos. She wore a red-and-white gingham bikini, featuring a triangle top with white halter straps. The matching bottoms sat low on her hips and were tied at the sides with delicate bows.
Fans quickly reacted to the photos, with one writing, "Looks just like her dad! 😂." Another noted, "Gwyneth body and Chris's face, especially when she's jumping in the wave [sic]."
One person commented, "It's funny, at first I was like, Gwnyrh and then thought, oh no that's not her what was I thinking? And the. Read the caption [sic]."
Someone else commented, "Before I scrolled down to see the caption i already knew whose child she was. That's a Gwenyth/Chris smoothie [sic]!" Another netizen simply added, "She's so cute and having fun! ❤️," and one person wrote, "She's gorgeous ❤️❤️❤️."
Not all reactions were positive, however. Someone added, "Nepo." Another wrote, "She is nothing special just like her Mom."
However, to Gwyneth, nothing comes close to a mother's love, as she explained to "CBS Sunday Morning" in 2022. During a segment for Mother's Day, the actress shared her thoughts on the ups and downs of motherhood, starting with the day Apple was born.
"I felt this incredible rush of love. It was so shocking that I asked my mother, 'Do you love me this much?' It reframed completely how I saw motherhood," she said, smiling.
Gwyneth Paltrow also explained that when her son, Moses Martin, was born, she suffered from postpartum depression for several months.
"I was overwhelmed by all of the feelings, most acutely shame, even though I knew then, as I know now, that Moses would light up my life," she shared. "My experience of motherhood in those early days was different, but in hindsight, I can see how many things were exactly the same. I loved them both so, so much."
The actress also talked about watching her children grow up, during an appearance on "The Drew Barrymore Show" in November 2024.
Her friend and host, Drew Barrymore, commented on Gwyneth's empty nest situation, to which the actress responded, "I know. I remember Apple and Olive running around, and they seemed close in age. Now she's gone," referring to Olive Kopelman, Drew's 12-year-old daughter.

When the host asked what the transition had been like, Gwyneth described it as "incredible," pointing to the pride she felt in having raised well-mannered, self-aware adults.
"There's a lot of grief," she confessed, "And then there's also this kind of like magical space that opens up. [...] So I'm sort of gingerly feeling out this new space while also being really sad that they're not in the house anymore."
That same month, the family traveled to Paris for Le Bal des Débutantes, where Apple made her official debut into society. The young woman wore a custom-made Valentino gown and was escorted by Count Leo Henckel von Donnersmarck.
Afterward, Gwyneth told Vanity Fair that her daughter had never been fully comfortable in "the public eye," but that the event was something she was interested in, so the whole family supported her. Even her father, the Coldplay frontman, dressed up and danced the waltz.
"Sometimes we need some levity and we need frosting on the cake," the actress said to the magazine. "It was honestly one of the most special weekends of my entire life."
