During her Fox interview, Melania explained that Fostering the Future supports young people from the foster care system as they pursue higher education.

"Fostering the Future provides scholarships at the university level within [the] foster care community. And it's very important, because we need to support them," she said.

"They need to have the same opportunities as other children, and I'm very proud to say that we had the first doctor graduating, and we now have 26 universities all around the country that have foster students. I encourage every governor in every state to sign and support foster children."
