For followers accustomed to seeing him beside Trina, the announcement was painfully difficult to absorb. Their marriage had been part of the family's public life, but some of the moments they shared were as familiar as a couple making plans for their next meal.

Those quieter updates are where their companionship feels particularly close. They had let people see a husband and wife taking care of themselves while taking that journey together.

They Were Working Toward a Healthier Life Together

Before Von's death, he and Trina had been following a regular training routine and pursuing weight loss together through Thinnex. Trina shared that part of their lives on Instagram, allowing followers to keep up with their efforts.

Years before those posts, Trina had spoken with unmistakable joy about becoming his wife. Her words from their wedding provide an especially loving picture of the marriage they were beginning.

Trina's Wedding-Day Words Were Full of Love

Trina and Von married on December 15, 2019, in St. Louis, Missouri. She was 45 when they celebrated their wedding at Windows on Washington, a venue in the city's historic downtown neighborhood. Speaking to People, Trina described the occasion in her own delighted words.

"Our wedding day was unpredictable and amazing. Our personalities shined through, and it was a great example of our relationship. Simple elegance, but all about celebrating with family and friends. It was perfect for us."

Her pleasure in the day was wonderfully personal. She loved that the celebration reflected them, right down to its unpredictability. Trina also spoke about the man she had married and the importance of bringing their loved ones into the occasion.

"I'm married to an amazing man, and our night was about displaying our love for each other amongst our loved ones and including our loved ones and blending our families. Who could ask for anything more?!"

Blending their families was part of what made the wedding so meaningful to her. The people closest to them were included in the happiness they were celebrating.

Trina's sisters, Toni, Tamar, Traci, and Towanda Braxton, attended, along with her brother, Michael Braxton Jr., and their mother, Evelyn Braxton. Judge Mablean Ephriam officiated the ceremony.

The bride wore a floor-length white gown by Naama & Anat Haute Couture. Lace straps framed the dress's deeply cut V-shaped bustier, while her hair was arranged in an updo. A jeweled silver headpiece with two layers added sparkle above her face. She completed the bridal look with a silver pendant necklace, earrings, and a coordinating bangle.

Von wore a light gray suit designed by Cedric Cobb, paired with a white shirt. An embroidered gold tie and matching pocket square brought warmth to the outfit, and a white rose finished his wedding-day look.

Their clothing was elegant, but the family photographs offered something even sweeter. During the reception, Trina stood smiling with her sisters and Evelyn, surrounded by women who had shared so much of her life.

The celebration was also brought into the family's television world. People reported at the time that the wedding would appear in the seventh season of "Braxton Family Values" on WE tv in 2020. Alongside her reality television work, Trina was then a host on TV One's "Sister Circle." With her co-hosts, she spoke to celebrity guests about their relationships and personal experiences.

At her own wedding, she was the one sharing a deeply happy milestone. Her words were those of a bride who felt fortunate to have found her partner and wanted the people she loved to enjoy that happiness with her.

Her Family's History Makes These Memories Especially Tender

Trina's wedding came almost a year after the death of her former husband, Gabriel Solis, who was also known as Gabe. He died of cancer on December 20, 2018, at 43.

They had married on August 10, 2003, and divorced on April 30, 2015. Despite the end of their marriage, they remained friends. Earlier, Trina had been married to Jose Mojica Jr. from 1994 to 2001. They had two sons, Eric Jose Mojica and Caleb Antonio Mojica.

Her biography records those chapters of her family life alongside the work through which audiences came to know her. Born on December 3, 1974, in Severn, Maryland, Trina became a member of the singing group the Braxtons and built a career as an actress and producer.

Her credits include "My Only Fan," "Sisters and the Shrink 2," released in 2021, and "The Funny Thing About Love," listed for 2026. Away from those credits, her biography also notes that she became a member of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc., in June 2021.

Friendships with Angie Stone, Tamika Scott, and Major were also important parts of her life. Through her sisters' former marriages, Trina was previously a sister-in-law to Keri Lewis and Vince Herbert.

The Braxton family has endured other painful losses. Trina's niece, Lauren Braxton, Michael's daughter, died on April 29, 2019, at 24 from heroin and fentanyl intoxication. Three years later, Traci died of esophageal cancer on March 12, 2022. She was only three weeks away from her 51st birthday on April 2.

Traci's presence in Trina's wedding photographs makes those family portraits even more special. They capture a day when the sisters could gather around the bride and celebrate her happiness together.

Now, the family is mourning Von, while asking for the space to face that loss privately. Trina's own wedding-day words offer a loving remembrance of the husband she called an amazing man.

The videos they shared preserve another part of that love, in the routines of their married life. Training together and cooking side by side, Trina and Von allowed followers to see the ordinary closeness of being a couple, and those are tender moments to leave behind.
