Kelly Osbourne has spent much of her life in beautiful homes, surrounded by famous faces and the kind of luxury most people only see on television. But at 41, after losing her beloved father and watching her personal life change, she has chosen a very different future — and there are still a few things she wants to get right before letting everyone into it.

A New Chapter Behind Closed Doors

For years, viewers knew Kelly as the outspoken teenager growing up in the middle of the Osbourne family's wonderfully chaotic life. Their Beverly Hills mansion became almost as recognizable as the people living inside it, with arguments, laughter, pets, and unexpected visitors appearing on television screens around the world.

Much of that chaos unfolded inside their famous California property, which became the setting of the MTV reality show that made the Osbournes household names. But the teenager who once had cameras following her around the house is now a mother building a home of her own.

Kelly is raising a son who will turn four in November, and the man who once filled their homes with his unmistakable voice is no longer there. Ozzy Osbourne died on July 22, 2025, aged 76, leaving his family facing a loss that no amount of fame or money could soften.

Kelly had moved into her parents' home when she became pregnant and spent almost the first two years of Sidney's life living with Ozzy. Her father got to share those precious early moments with his grandson, from his first milestones to ordinary days together.

"Most people say that they see my dad in him," Kelly shared. Now, as Sidney grows older, she still catches glimpses of the father she misses so much in her little boy.

More than a year after Ozzy's death, Kelly is still learning how to live without him. She did not try to make the past year sound easier than it had been when she opened up about her grief and starting again.

"It's been the hardest year of my life," she confessed, adding, "I'll never be the person I was before my father died... a part of me died, too."

"Everything is different. I'm different. Everything has changed," she explained, describing how she was taking things one day at a time. And one of the biggest changes involved leaving Los Angeles behind.

Britain was never an unfamiliar place for Kelly. She had spent part of her childhood in Buckinghamshire, and her parents maintained a family home there for decades, even while their careers kept them connected to Los Angeles.

In fact, Ozzy and Sharon had been planning a similar return for years. After spending 25 years in Los Angeles, they wanted to settle back into the English country house where they had raised their children.

This time, Kelly was making decisions for her own little family. She wanted to create a comfortable home in the countryside while keeping the people she loved close, especially her mother and young Sidney.

But moving meant starting all over again, right down to deciding where to put her belongings. The woman who had once grown up in a mansion watched by millions was now surrounded by cardboard boxes, unpacking the pieces of her life one by one.

Her new house was still a work in progress, with belongings waiting to find their places and rooms that needed to be arranged. Kelly had traded the familiar rhythm of Los Angeles for a new beginning that came with plenty of unpacking and an entirely different daily routine.

Fourteen Guests, One Missing Voice

Yet amid all those changes, the Osbournes had already begun making new memories. Some of their most personal family photographs showed how they were spending time together after the loss that had changed everything.

Kelly had planned that first Christmas without Ozzy at Sharon's Buckinghamshire home, complete with Christmas crackers and the King's speech on television. The family had also arranged matching pajamas, bringing a little fun to a holiday that was always going to feel different without Ozzy.

The celebration brought several generations together, with Sidney at the center of the festivities. And as the family continued finding ways to enjoy special occasions, Sharon made sure her grandson had plenty to look forward to.

A few months later, Sidney had another celebration waiting for him. Kelly and Sharon made sure Easter was filled with surprises, continuing the family tradition of making special occasions memorable for the youngest generation.

Kelly had grown up with a mother who loved making a fuss over her children, and now Sharon was doing the same for her grandson. This time, the excitement belonged to a little boy discovering the world around him.

Far From the House That Made Her Famous

Away from the bigger family celebrations, Kelly was enjoying the ordinary routines of raising a young child. Her days were filled with activities that had little in common with the constant attention surrounding her teenage years.

She continued sharing small pieces of family life with her followers. But the biggest change was happening away from the cameras, as she prepared to raise Sidney in the country where she had once been a little girl herself.

Kelly has not shared a full tour of her new property, but she has spoken about what life there is like. She is settling into the countryside, raising Sidney, and making the place her own, even if everything is not yet in its place.

And moving was about much more than finding a quieter home. Kelly had made some difficult decisions about the future she wanted for her son, while facing personal changes that had left her with even more to deal with.

The Decision That Changed Everything

Kelly had previously divided her life between England and a 100-acre farm in Iowa, where she raised Sidney with his father, Slipknot musician Sid Wilson. She had also listed her Los Feliz home for sale in 2024, although it had not sold by the time of her latest UK-life update.

Kelly and Sid later ended their relationship, leaving her to adjust to another major change while raising their young son. When asked about the split, she declined to discuss it, keeping her attention on Sidney and their future.

Even Grief Couldn't Stop the Cruelty

At the same time, Kelly was facing a wave of cruel body-shaming following her dramatic weight loss. Strangers criticized her changing appearance while she was dealing with grief, stress, and painful changes in her personal life.

Kelly spoke about the toll that losing her father had taken on her mental and physical health. Yet instead of being left to grieve privately, she found herself facing hurtful comments about her body during one of the most difficult periods of her life.

Through it all, she had someone giving her a reason to keep going. "I have so many reasons to keep going," Kelly said, speaking about the joy she still finds in motherhood. "I've got my baby boy, and he makes me the happiest person in the world."

Talking about life with Sidney in the UK, she said, "I've never been a California girl. It's been great to be home, and making a life for me and my son where I can see he's truly happy."

One Fear She Refused to Pass On

Sidney was already settling into a new routine of his own. At almost four years old, he was beginning his first years of school, while Kelly was making a decision that went far beyond where they would live.

She had spent much of her life moving between Britain and America, but as a mother, she looked at that choice differently. There was one fear about American schools she did not want Sidney growing up with.

The issue was gun violence. Kelly had previously expressed her worries about school shootings in the United States, a subject that had also troubled her father during the family's years in America.

In her latest interview, Kelly explained that she could not accept the idea of her son having to prepare for an armed attack at school. "I don't ever want to have to explain to my son what to do during a gun raid," she said.

"That's the realistic thing that you have to do in schools in America, and to me, that's insanity." Kelly wanted Sidney to grow up somewhere she felt more comfortable sending him to school, rather than continuing to divide his childhood between countries.

Back in the English countryside, Kelly has been settling into a new routine with Sidney. Her brother Jack described her as "living her country life, and she's just doing her thing, being a mum."

Jack added, "She's in a happier place, and she's got a good routine going. She's focusing on her and her son."Between the school run, time with family, and unpacking her belongings, Kelly has been keeping busy making their new life feel like home.

But despite settling into her new life with Sidney, Kelly still hasn't invited her friends and family from Los Angeles to her new home. And she has a very particular reason for keeping them waiting.

She Won't Let Even Her Closest Friends In — Yet

After years of moving between homes and countries, Kelly finally has a place she wants to make her own. But before inviting everyone over, she has a long list of things to finish, from unpacking her belongings to getting every room properly arranged.

She admitted that her love of order is making a comeback as she tackles the unpacking. "I'm getting back into my OCD mind and unpacking everything," Kelly laughed, before borrowing a line from the musical Annie.

"I want this place to shine like the top of the Chrysler Building!" she joked, making it clear that she has a rather high standard in mind for the finished result. After years of living in famous family houses, Kelly now gets to decide exactly how she wants her own space to look.

And her family and friends from Los Angeles are waiting for just that moment. Kelly wants them to see the house when everything is properly arranged, rather than while she is still surrounded by boxes.

"When it's all put away and everything is where it's supposed to be, they'll be able to come and visit," she explained. There was no elaborate secret behind the delay — just a mother who wanted to get her new home in order before opening the doors to everyone else.

For now, Kelly is continuing to settle into the countryside with Sidney, surrounded by family and the memories of the man they have lost. She has experienced enormous changes over the past year, and she is not pretending that everything has suddenly become easy.

Her final words about the move were gentle but revealing: "Happy is not the word, but I'm where I'm meant to be."She did not pretend that a new home could erase everything that had happened, and she did not promise that the difficult days were over.

There will still be birthdays when she wishes Ozzy were there to watch Sidney grow, along with school mornings, holidays, and new family traditions. And as her son gets older, Kelly will have more stories to share with him about the grandfather who loved him from the very beginning.
