Father of Sahara Ray's Daughter Identified After Her Death — Details
Sahara Ray's rumored romances with famous musicians once made headlines. Now, a new report has revealed a more personal detail about the late Australian model's family.
From a much-discussed Hawaiian getaway to later public appearances with a rocker, Ray's love life drew years of speculation. But the identity of her daughter's father remained largely private.

Sahara Ray’s Past Relationships Drew Public Interest Long Before Her Daughter's Birth
In August 2016, Sahara attracted international attention after she was photographed vacationing in Hawaii with Pop Superstar Justin. The pair fueled romance rumors when paparazzi photographs emerged showing them enjoying the tropical getaway, including a skinny-dipping outing.
Sahara also shared an Instagram photograph from the vacation featuring herself, Justin Bieber, and several friends sitting together inside an aircraft. "Aloha 🌺," she captioned the group photograph.
While the getaway generated considerable speculation about their relationship, the two were never publicly confirmed as a couple.
Sahara had also previously been romantically linked to Australian Singer Cody Simpson. Years later, she made headlines again over her connection to Musician Mod Sun.

In 2023, the pair were photographed together, and Sahara accompanied the rocker to the Ashton Michael RTW + 10-Year Anniversary Show: "Punk Tsugi" in Los Angeles.
She was also seen with Mod Sun in June 2024, when the musician staged a roadside performance for her in Malibu, California.
Yet while Ray's rumored romances had made headlines over the years, a different name would emerge in a far more personal part of her story.
A Birth Certificate Reveals a New Detail About Sahara Ray's Family
On October 20, 2026, TMZ reported that it had obtained the birth certificate of Ray’s daughter, Snow.
The document named 38-year-old Michael Bradley Dow as Snow’s father. It also revealed that she was born at 12:19 a.m. on January 27 at a hospital in Los Angeles.
The name bears a similarity to one mentioned in an earlier report about Ray's personal life.
In April 2025, The News International had identified a man named Mike Dow as Ray's fiancé. Despite the similarity between the names, neither report confirms whether Mike Dow and Michael Bradley Dow are the same person.
TMZ also did not explain the nature of Ray's relationship with the man listed on Snow's birth certificate, leaving that part of her private life unclear.
While the latest report sheds light on Snow's father, earlier coverage of Sahara's death revealed the deeply personal moments she shared with her daughter, along with details about her final days.
The Photos That Have Taken on a Heartbreaking New Meaning
As previously reported, Sahara died at the age of 34. Her passing was reported by TMZ on October 19, 2026, sending shockwaves through the world of fashion and social media, where she had built a substantial following.
But while Sahara was known for her modeling career, famous connections, and glamorous lifestyle, her most recent Instagram activity reflected something far more personal: her love for her daughter, Snow.
On July 19, 2026, exactly three months before news of her death emerged, Sahara shared what would become her final Instagram post. The heartwarming carousel featured several photographs of her little girl, including adorable moments of Snow smiling, playing, and wearing colorful outfits. The proud mother captioned the upload:
"My whole heart 🤍 baby Snow."

According to Page Six's report, Snow is just 10 months old. The outlet also reported that Sahara had welcomed her daughter in January 2026.
Before giving birth, the doting mom had shared her excitement and nerves with followers in a video showing off her baby bump.
"Wish me luck. I get induced today at 8 p.m. So excited, so nervous," she wrote at the time. Sahara subsequently celebrated her daughter's arrival by posting photographs of the newborn wrapped in a blanket.
In April, she introduced Snow to her social media audience in another sweet video featuring the mother-daughter duo cuddling together. "Baby snow hallelujah," she captioned the post, pairing it with Justin's 2025 song "Everything Hallelujah."
Although Sahara happily shared glimpses of life with her little girl, she had not publicly identified Snow's father at the time.
According to information shared in an Instagram post by her mother, Gretchen Gia Bach, Sahara was living in Los Angeles when she became a mother. However, Los Angeles was not necessarily where the model had always envisioned raising her children.
As Entertainment Weekly recalled, Sahara had previously spoken about her attachment to Australia and her hope of eventually settling there.
"Australia is where I want to end up and I want to have kids here," she said in a 2016 interview with The Herald Sun. "It's more chilled and relaxed and even on shoots, it's more about quality than quantity," she explained.
From Surfing Royalty to International Modeling Fame
Long before she became a familiar face on social media platforms, Sahara grew up surrounded by the ocean and the excitement of professional surfing. Born in Australia, she was the daughter of celebrated big-wave Surfer Tony Ray, whose career took the family across different parts of the world.
Her childhood was spent traveling between Australia, California, and Hawaii. In an interview with GQ, the model explained that she grew up "primarily in Santa Cruz" and spent winters in Hawaii with her father.
"I used to travel all over the world with him while he was competing in the pipe masters [and] big wave competitions," she recalled.
Her father's sporting achievements were considerable. According to the Encyclopedia of Surfing, Tony was ranked No. 11 in the world in 1992, the year after Sahara was born. Sahara initially shared her father's passion for surfing but eventually stepped away from the sport as a teenager to concentrate on modeling and fashion.
She moved from Australia to Los Angeles and enrolled at the Fashion Institute of Design & Merchandising (FIDM).
Her career later flourished through modeling opportunities, an expanding social media presence, and the launch of her own swimwear label, Sahara Ray Swim. Her Instagram became known for glamorous and sometimes provocative photographs, including nude images, revealing fashion looks, and pictures showcasing pieces from her swimwear collections.
She also joined the adult subscription platform OnlyFans in 2020, further expanding her online presence. That same year, Sahara sparked concern when she shared an emotional Instagram post claiming she had experienced predatory behavior from men.
However, it was a much-publicized getaway several years earlier that had first introduced her to a wider celebrity audience.

The Health Struggles She Shared with Followers
In December 2021, Sahara publicly revealed that she had been struggling with addiction and had voluntarily entered a treatment program. She checked into a rehabilitation and wellness facility in Malibu for a planned 30-day stay to address her mental health and substance use.
Rather than keeping her experience entirely private, Sahara decided to bring her followers along on the journey. "Hey, guys, I just wanted to update you and the journey that I'm on right now," she explained in a video recorded at the facility. "I just checked into a mental health, wellness, drug and alcohol addiction treatment center retreat. It's really beautiful. It's in Malibu," she continued.
Sahara also expressed her determination to share a more vulnerable side of herself with her audience. "I'm really excited to share my story with you guys. I'll be here for 30 days. This is day one," she said.

"I'm also documenting everything and I'll be doing a YouTube video, so you guys can see the really vulnerable side. I'm going to keep it light on Instagram." Three years later, the model encountered another frightening health setback.
In May 2024, she revealed that she had been diagnosed with Guillain-Barré syndrome, a rare neurological disorder that affects the nerves and can cause muscle weakness and paralysis.
According to the Mayo Clinic, the condition occurs when the immune system attacks the body's nerves, potentially causing numbness, weakness, and paralysis.
Sahara said her health problems began after she was struck by a drunk driver traveling at approximately 80 miles per hour on April 8, 2024. "It basically sent my body into shock which [sic] sent my body into this crazy sickness," she explained about the accident.
"I got really really sick for like a week and a half to two weeks. During that time I barely ate any food because I couldn't keep it down and my body got really weak [sic]," she continued. Afterward, she began noticing tingling and numbness in her feet, which gradually spread into her legs.
Her condition worsened until she required emergency medical attention. "So basically, right now I'm paralyzed from the tops of my upper thighs all the way down to my feet. I can't walk at all," Sahara told her TikTok followers.
At the time, she depended on a wheelchair and walker to get around. "This has been really hard to deal with and I've been trying to keep a good attitude and be hopeful that my feeling comes back," she explained.
Despite the frightening diagnosis, Sahara appeared to make significant progress in the months that followed. Her social media accounts once again featured modeling content and professional photographs, suggesting that she had regained some sense of normalcy after the ordeal.
Then came the arrival of Snow in January 2026, a milestone that brought an entirely new source of happiness into her life. But less than a year after welcoming her first child, the model was rushed to a hospital following another devastating medical emergency.

What Reportedly Happened During Her Final Weekend
According to the Daily Mail, Sahara suffered a suspected fentanyl overdose on Friday night, October 16, 2026. An unnamed source close to the model told the outlet that she was rushed to a hospital in the Los Angeles area after the incident. The insider claimed that Sahara's condition was so serious that doctors placed her on life support.
Her family was then reportedly confronted with an agonizing decision. According to the same source, Sahara's loved ones ultimately decided to withdraw life support late Sunday afternoon, October 18. She reportedly died shortly afterward, with her family surrounding her.
However, it is important to note that Sahara's cause of death had not been officially confirmed at the time of the reports. The fentanyl overdose account came from an unnamed source cited by the Daily Mail.
It also remained unclear whether the reported overdose was accidental or intentional. The model's family confirmed her passing to TMZ, sharing a heartbreaking statement about her final moments. "She passed away last night surrounded by family at the hospital. She was so loved," her loved ones said.
Her Mother's Heartbreaking Tribute
As news of Sahara's death spread, her mother, Real Estate Agent Gretchen, remembered her daughter as a loving person whose passions extended far beyond the glamorous world of modeling.
"Sahara was an incredibly passionate and kind young woman who loved her family, fashion, her daughter Snow, and surfing," Gretchen told the Daily Mail. The grieving mother also expressed gratitude for the messages of love and support arriving from Sahara's friends, fans, and the communities she had been part of around the world.
"We're feeling the love that is pouring in from her cherished friends, fans and the many communities that she was part of around the world," she said. Her words offered a touching reminder of the woman behind the public persona: a daughter, a friend, a designer, and, most recently, a devoted mother.
Sahara's reported overdose also comes against the backdrop of an ongoing opioid crisis in the United States. According to CNN's September 2026 reporting, fentanyl and other synthetic opioids are involved in more than half of all drug overdose deaths nationwide.
Although fatal overdoses have declined significantly in recent years, provisional data from the US Centers for Disease Control and Prevention indicated that fentanyl and other synthetic opioids were still implicated in more than 35,000 deaths over the preceding year. For Sahara's loved ones, however, the loss is far more personal than any statistic.
At just 34, the model leaves behind a career spanning fashion, swimwear design, and social media, as well as the little girl who had become the center of her world.
