Faye Dunaway's Only Son Liam Is Grownup & Handsome — She Lied about Being Pregnant with Him Decades Ago

Faye Dunaway and her second husband, Terry O'Neill, only had one child together. Years after his birth, Dunaway confessed to the real story of how he entered their lives.

Faye Dunaway is best known for her roles in "Bonnie & Clyde," "Mommie Dearest," "Chinatown," and a host of other movies and TV shows that made up her award-winning career.

She was first married to Peter Wolf from 1974 to 1979 and later married Terry O'Neill, a British photographer, in 1983. However, they had been dating for a while before their wedding.

Although Terry had two children, Keegan and Sara, with his ex-wife Vera Day, Faye wanted her own child. So in 1980, the couple welcomed their son, Liam Dunaway O'Neill.

At first, Faye told the media that she had hidden her pregnancy from the public because Terry was going through his divorce from Vera, and the new couple did not want to upset Terry's two children.

Rumors suggesting Liam was adopted circled, but Terry denied the allegations. While Faye joked to People Magazine the year after Liam was born that she could "be very quiet when I want to" in regards to how she kept the pregnancy a secret.

However, years later, the couple revealed the truth about Liam's birth. He was adopted. Terry explained that Faye had always wanted to be a mother, but it was not happening biologically for her as he said:

"She wanted to be a mother, but there came a point when she had to face the fact that kids were not coming."

Liam is now all grown up and living his own life. His Instagram account has since been made private, but he previously shared updates about his life, throwback pictures with his parents, and snaps with his friends.

In 2021, Liam also gave insight into his weight-loss transformation, sharing photos of his progress on Instagram. He revealed that he had dedicated a year to his mental and physical health and lost nearly 30 pounds through hard work, diet and exercise, according to People.

In 2022, Liam became a father when he welcomed his son, Oliver Dunaway O'Neill, with his partner McKinzie Roth, a TV host, radio personality, and spokesperson. When Liam announced the arrival of his son, he celebrated the new chapter with an emotional message.

"Let the adventure begin !!!" he reportedly wrote in the caption of his announcement on his now private Instagram account. "Two things I never thought possible, finding my person and making one. Extremely blessed and happy that our family is getting bigger."

Liam was already stepping into family life with McKinzie, who had a daughter of her own, and together they have built a growing family that includes time with Faye, especially on special occasions like Mother's Day.
