The ad, which aired during the second quarter of the game on Sunday, February 9, showcased Seal in an unexpected and humorous way. The 61-year-old musician appeared as a literal seal, singing a parody of his hit song "Kiss From A Rose," and the clip quickly became a fan favorite online.

The commercial also starred singer Becky G and Mountain Dew's long-running mascot, the "Mountain Dude." They step through a portal and find themselves on a boat in the middle of the ocean. A group of real seals are atop a rock, and among them, Seal's face appears on a seal's body.

He then performs "Kiss From A Lime," a reimagined version of his iconic song, as a way of celebrating the tropical lime flavor of Mountain Dew Baja Blast.

Later, Seal appears in his human form on the boat, quipping that it was a "good-looking seal," while the Mountain Dude dryly responds, "None of this makes sense."

The singer shared the video on social media and in a statement, he said, "I had a blast coming up with new lyrics and loved collaborating with their team to bring this campaign to life in such a fun and unexpected way." The ad was created by Goodby Silverstein & Partners and directed by acclaimed filmmaker Taika Waititi.

Entertainment Tonight captured behind-the-scenes moments with Seal as he recorded the commercial. They also interviewed the singer, who said he was a huge football fan.
