Fans Stunned to See New Video of Jelly Roll's Rarely-Seen Son, Noah
The rarely-seen youngster appeared briefly in the clip, prompting an outpouring of excitement and affection from viewers.
Jelly Roll's wife, Bunnie Xo, shared a sweet video of the country singer's son, Noah "Buddy" DeFord, on TikTok, which has left fans buzzing. Many are surprised by how much the little one mirrors his dad.

Bunnie Xo, whose real name is Alyssa DeFord, posted the video on Wednesday, June 11, writing over it, "When Noah was his daddy's ghost writer for this hook on 'Tha Carter 6,'" referring to Jelly Roll's feature on Lil Wayne's new album.

In the clip, Bunnie pans the camera over to 8-year-old Noah, who's seen singing along to Jelly Roll's verse in the song "Sharks" while jotting down the lyrics. As the words play — "Snakes ain't always in the grass/Sharks ain't always in the water/Thieves ain't always in the night/God ain't always at the altar" — Noah mouths along.

It didn't take long for fans to fill the comments with praise, gushing over both his resemblance to his father and their shared musical flair. A fan in awe gushed, "He is such a jelly [sic] carbon copy." Another person playfully noted, "Ok lil baby roll lookin like his daddy's twin🥰 [sic]."

Plenty of comments echoed the same thought, "He looks just like his dad!" Another individual added, "Love that we are seeing more of Noah! He looks just like his daddy." One affectionate fan exclaimed, "Little Jelly❤️," and another person wrote, "So cute!! Daddy's twin!!"
Someone else was stunned by how fast time had flown, saying, "I love this! I cannot believe how big he is!!" And for fans who weren't aware of Noah before, one surprised comment read, "Wait he has a son too? How'd I not know this?"

The sweet video clearly struck a chord with fans who were delighted to see how Noah takes after his father. When Noah was born on August 26, 2016, an excited Jelly Roll shared the news online with a heartfelt photo. In the photo, he is seated on a hospital bed, cradling his newborn son in his arms.
Baby Noah is sleeping, wrapped snugly in a hospital blanket, his tiny face visible. Jelly Roll gazes down at him with a smile on his face. He captioned the photo, "God Bless this Child to be everything I am not! Noah Buddy DeFord! I pray he nor Bailee ever have to pay for their father's sins. I'll post more pics tomorrow."
After introducing his son to the world, Jelly Roll kept him away from the public's eyes. However, in July 2023, Bunnie Xo reintroduced him to the public through a social media post.
In it, she shared that Noah's mother, Melisa, is the custodial parent, and emphasized that all three adults — herself, Jelly Roll, and Melisa — have built a positive co-parenting relationship based on mutual understanding and respect.
While many were curious why the singer waited until Noah was six to go public with their relationship, he explained that the decision wasn't solely his.
It stemmed from a conversation between Bunnie Xo and Melisa, who agreed that it was the right time. Until then, the family had made efforts to keep Noah out of the spotlight, even during vacations when he joined them.

Jelly Roll also clarified that, unlike his role with his daughter Bailee Ann, where he is the primary parent making all the decisions, his approach with Noah is more supportive.
He respects Melisa's choices as Noah's mother and works to ensure her boundaries are honored, allowing Bunnie Xo's involvement to naturally evolve within those shared understandings.
"I try not to get in the way of what she (Melisa) is building over there, and I never want to step on her toes, with what she's doing with him, that I want to just respect that boundary," the singer noted.
The singer, who deeply loves both of his children, Noah and Bailee, has spoken about how and when he plans to share his past and life lessons with his son, noting that it will likely happen when Noah is a teenager.

With Bailee, who is now 17, it's only recently that she has started to understand the journey her father has been through. Jelly Roll has also reflected on how his daughter initially struggled with his success.

In the early days of his music career, he was away from home for much of the year, something that made Bailee feel distant from him. Now she's grown older, her perspective has shifted, and she now enjoys the chance to travel and watch him perform live.
Jelly Roll recently even shared a heartwarming moment with Bailee as she headed to her prom. The photo, posted by Music Mayhem, captured the father-daughter duo beaming with joy, sparking a buzz.

Bailey also posted a now-deleted TikTok video showing her father walking down the stairs while holding a bouquet of roses. He then extended the flowers toward the camera.

Jelly Roll has spoken openly about his difficult past and the meaningful bond he shares with his daughter, Bailee. In a November 2024 interview with People, the Grammy-nominated singer revealed that he was just 14 years old when he was first arrested. Despite that, he has no concerns that Bailee will follow the same path.

He recalled a conversation where he encouraged Bailee by pointing out her strengths. "I don't judge you based on what you do. I judge you based on what I know you're capable of," he told her.
"You're so much smarter than I was at 16. You're so much better, so much more emotionally intelligent. You can read a room so much better. So don't try to talk your way out of getting in trouble, Miss Sassy, by weaponizing my past," added the "All My Life" singer.

Jelly Roll also said Bailee is far ahead of where he was at her age, and he feels hopeful about her future. "When I look at what she does that I consider horrible, I look back at what I was doing at 16, and I'm like, 'Oh man…' When I'm hard on her about stuff or a little pushy, she knows it's from love," he shared.

The country rap artist and his wife, Bunnie Xo, have had full custody of Bailee since 2017. Bailee's mother has dealt with drug addiction, but Jelly Roll has shared that Bailee and her mom are currently working on rebuilding their relationship.

Bailee has remained close to her father and joined him earlier in November at the 2024 CMA Awards. Jelly Roll, who was incarcerated at the time of her birth, has often said that her arrival marked a significant turning point in his life.
"We were really, really close before it exploded, but she understands what it's doing for her future and the family's future," he said.

He also shared that Bailee has remained grounded, having been in the same public school district for a decade and maintaining long-standing friendships since he and Bunnie Xo assumed custody.
Bailee also appeared on Bunnie Xo's "Dumb Blonde" podcast, where she opened up about her goals. She said she hopes to attend Columbia University after high school to pursue a career in criminal defense law.

"That's where I wanna go, and I wanna study law. As for music, I don't have any plans for it right now," she explained.
She also spoke about the experience of growing up with a famous father. "We're all kinda used to it," she said. "He's come to football games, and whatever. So I think everybody's kind of over that 'Oh, my God.' And, also, people are kinda just know not to [expletive] with me. I'm just not the one. So it's pretty easy. Other than that, making new friendships is hard, but I just don't do that anymore."

From heartfelt prom moments to open conversations about growth and responsibility, Bailee continues to show maturity beyond her years.
With the support of her father, Jelly Roll, and a clear vision for her future, she is forging her own path — one grounded in stability, ambition, and family connection.
