Texas Authorities Searching for 19-Year-Old Camila Mendoza Olmos, Missing Since Christmas Eve and Feared to Be in Danger
A Texas teenager disappeared without a trace on Christmas Eve, just hours after making heartfelt holiday plans with her best friend. Now, a multi-agency search effort is underway to find her, as family and friends grow more desperate with each passing day.
Nineteen-year-old Camila Mendoza Olmos was last seen in the early morning hours of December 24, 2025, leaving her northwest Bexar County neighborhood in San Antonio.
Her car was left behind, and with no sign of where she went, investigators are pleading with the public for help. Her mother and best friend have since come forward, sharing an emotional plea and the chilling last words Camila spoke before vanishing.

A Disappearance Without a Trace
The Bexar County Sheriff's Office posted a missing person alert on Facebook on Christmas Eve, describing Camila as 5'4" and weighing 110 lbs. She was last seen wearing baby blue pajamas, a black and baby blue hoodie, and white shoes.
Security footage from her home, located on the 11000 block of Caspian Spring in northwest Bexar County, showed her leaving at 6:58 a.m. She walked toward her vehicle and appeared to be searching for something inside before the footage ended.

She hasn't been seen since. Although her vehicle remained parked at her residence, she may have left with her car keys and driver's license.
Her cell phone, however, was quickly found.
A Mother's Desperate Plea
Camila's mother, Rosario Olmos, told authorities that her daughter often went for early morning walks. But when she didn't return within a reasonable time, concern quickly turned into panic.
On Christmas Day, Rosario gave a tearful interview to the press, asking for the community's prayers and holding on to hope for her daughter's safe return.
She explained that they had been sleeping together that morning and that she felt Camila get out of bed. Around ninety minutes later, Rosario woke up again and noticed her daughter still wasn't home, despite her car being parked in the driveway.
More troubling was the fact that Camila hadn't taken her phone.
"I called her cell phone, but the cell phone was there on the bed and it was turned off," Rosario said. "I put it to charge and went out to look for her. I thought I would find her like other times, walking, and we would come home together."

After trying to reach both her boyfriend and Camila's father — and confirming neither had seen her — Rosario contacted the Bexar County Sheriff's Office. A massive search began on Christmas Day, with family and friends combing the area.
The matriarch also pointed out that this wasn't at all like her daughter, and asked God to return Camila home safely.
Dash Cam Footage Emerges
On December 29, investigators announced a possible new discovery in the case. A woman driving to work on Christmas Eve had captured dash cam footage of someone walking alone just blocks from Camila's house.
Bexar County Sheriff Javier Salazar said the person in the video matched Camila's description and was wearing clothing consistent with what she had on that morning.
While they couldn't confirm with complete certainty that it was her, the footage has been released in hopes that others in the area may have recorded additional clues.
Meanwhile, the search has expanded. The FBI and Department of Homeland Security have now joined local law enforcement. Authorities are even monitoring international travel and border crossings.
The sheriff also clarified that Camila was not taken by ICE agents, but they are not ruling out the possibility that her disappearance could have crossed international lines.
Unusual Behavior and New Details
What continues to puzzle investigators is that Camila left her phone behind, something highly unusual for a teenager who led an active lifestyle and stayed in constant communication with loved ones.
Sheriff Salazar also revealed that Camila had recently gone through a breakup. However, the separation was reportedly amicable and everyone close to the young woman was helping the case.
Still, he stated that Camila is believed to be in "imminent danger," though he did not share the full details behind that warning.
The Final Words to Her Best Friend
Camila's best friend, Camila Estrella, shared heartbreaking details about their last conversation. The girls reportedly spoke every day and, most recently, had plans to go dress shopping for an upcoming event.
According to her friend, Camila ended their conversation with, "Bye Cami, I love you." She also described Camila as someone "full of love" and said that nothing about this situation makes sense.
We send our thoughts to her family and friends at this time in hopes that she is found soon.
