A Celebration Packed With Meaning

In the caption, the "The Boy Is Mine" singer poured her heart out.

"You have weathered so many storms, and stood firm through every test. You're a man of honor, that requires people treat you with kindness & respect all while making sure they reciprocate the love you so genuinely give when it's been earned," she wrote.

Of course, anyone who knows Monica understands that she would never do anything to endanger her children. They are, and have always been, her world.

A Mother First, Always

In a 2024 interview with Hello Beautiful, Monica opened up about what motherhood truly means to her. Juggling fame and family isn't easy, especially when raising three children and co-parenting a stepson. For Monica, her children have always come first.

In fact, she considers them her greatest accomplishments.

"It's a level of happiness and joy and it's the unconditional love that you just can't find in other places," she told the magazine.

Her youngest, Laiyah, whom she shares with NBA player Shannon Brown, is now entering her teen years. Monica says she is already focusing on helping her daughter build confidence, trust herself, and dream big.

"I love the joy of having a daughter. I love the fun of us being able to talk about some of the female things," she shared.

She also noted that when it comes to relationships, she intends to be real. Monica has spoken openly about her own heartbreaks and isn't afraid to tell her daughter the truth about her experiences.

More importantly, she wants Laiyah to understand how a man should treat a woman. Not based on fantasy, but on real-life lessons.

As for co-parenting, Monica made it clear that both fathers are deeply involved, and it's always been "easy" for all of them. Everyone is focused on the same goal: raising strong, happy, grounded children.
