A source told Entertainment Tonight (ET) that Garner and Miller share a strong relationship. "Jen and John feel like their bond is unbreakable. He's helped her through so much, and she truly loves him," the source explained.

The source described Miller as "kind, dependable and genuinely solid," explaining that he is the type of partner someone would want for a sister or close friend.

Miller has also developed a relationship with Garner's three children with Affleck: Violet, Fin and Samuel. The source said he "loves" them while also "respecting their space."

Garner reportedly introduced Miller to her children in 2018, the same year they were first romantically linked.

Another source told People that things between Garner and Miller were "better than ever." The source said the couple had "hit a stride" and that people who knew them considered the relationship the most "solid and connected" it had been.

The ET source also addressed how Miller feels about Garner's continued relationship with her ex-husband.

"John is also completely comfortable with Jen spending time with Ben, and there's never any jealousy," the source said. "Jen has always been clear that she wouldn't be in a relationship where that wasn't the case."

Miller's professional background has kept him largely outside Hollywood. His work has centered on business, technology, and intellectual property rather than entertainment.

He has served as CEO of PopID since January 2019, according to his LinkedIn profile. He has also served as chairman of Cali Group since 2011. Before those roles, Miller worked as vice president of intellectual property at Arrowhead Pharmaceuticals from 2004 to 2011.

His LinkedIn profile lists a bachelor's degree in economics from the University of Redlands and a law degree from Stanford Law School.

Miller is also a father. The 2018 report said he shared a son and daughter with concert violinist Caroline Campbell. The outlet reported that Miller and Campbell, who married in April 2005, had a long, on-and-off separation that included a 2011 divorce filing, a brief reconciliation the following year, and a second filing in 2014.

Court records obtained by the publication later showed the former couple had reached a custody agreement and were awaiting final approval from a judge before the case was officially closed. That process was completed in November 2018, when a Los Angeles County Superior Court judge signed off on the divorce, making Miller legally single.

In August 2020, the outlet reported that Garner and Miller had ended their relationship after nearly two years of dating. "He was ready for marriage and she just couldn't commit," a source said, adding that the two separated on "very amicable terms."

The split followed earlier reporting about the pace of their relationship. In January 2020, a source said Garner was "extremely content and blissfully happy" but was not rushing toward marriage.

"He knows she can't be rushed," the source said. Their separation proved temporary. In May 2021, the outlet reported that Garner and Miller had reconciled less than a year after their breakup. The reunion marked another phase in a relationship that remained mostly private.

A more public display of affection came in June 2025, when Miller joined Garner at a Save the Children fundraiser in Los Angeles.

As TMZ noted, the two were photographed smiling, embracing and kissing after Garner finished a one-mile run. Miller was there as she completed the final day of a 67-day running effort connected to the charity.

The couple was seen together twice in August 2026. On August 2, Garner and Miller walked through Santa Monica on their way to dinner, People reported. The two were dressed casually as they headed to the restaurant on foot.

Eight days later, on August 10, the Daily Mail stated that they took their dogs for a hike in Los Angeles' Brentwood neighborhood. Each walked one of the two dogs during the outing.

A source told ET in February 2023 that Affleck knew Miller and had no problem with Garner's relationship with him.

The source said Ben Affleck and Miller did not regularly spend time together independently.
