There is a side of Gwen Stefani and Blake Shelton's life that looks worlds away from stages, red carpets, and Los Angeles. Once you see what sits at the end of their long Oklahoma driveway, the scale of that transformation becomes much clearer.

For Stefani, the move into Shelton's country world was not something she had anticipated. "I didn't see any of this coming with Blake," she said during a 2023 interview.

"To be able to escape to Oklahoma, a place that I don't think I would have ever gone to, and when I met Blake, that's when I felt [at] home. Oh, this is where I'm supposed to be, with this guy. … Going to Oklahoma was like being introduced to a whole world I didn't know about."

That world has since become a very real part of their family life, and glimpses from the property show why Stefani's words carried so much weight.

Stefani's Unexpected Country Life

Stefani and Shelton first met while working as coaches on "The Voice" and began dating in 2015. At the time, both musicians were coming out of previous marriages.

Stefani shares sons Kingston, Zuma and Apollo with her former husband, Gavin Rossdale. Her marriage to Rossdale was later annulled by the Catholic Church in January 2021, years after their divorce was finalized. Shelton had previously been married to Singer-Songwriter Miranda Lambert.

Their relationship soon developed into something much more permanent, with Oklahoma becoming an important backdrop to their future together, and the couple's social media glimpses reveal a lifestyle that feels distinctly different from the glamorous settings with which Stefani has long been associated.

The outdoor surroundings offer plenty of evidence of that adjustment. Images shared from their life there show flower fields, gardens, and expanses of open land, suggesting that the Oklahoma property is not treated merely as an occasional celebrity getaway.

From Flower Fields to the Family Garden

The couple's property also includes a significant gardening operation. Social media glimpses have shown Shelton around raised planting beds, while close-up shots have highlighted tomatoes in dramatically different colors and varieties.

The pictures and videos give the property a genuinely hands-on feel, rather than making it appear to be nothing more than a manicured estate.

But the flowers do not necessarily stay outside, as another set of glimpses shows that what grows on the land can make its way indoors, where beautiful arrangements add bursts of color to the couple's already distinctive surroundings.

Inside Their Boldly Decorated Home

Their Oklahoma surroundings may be rustic, but Stefani has never been known for fading into the background, and glimpses inside the home suggest her taste for statement-making design remains very much intact. Images from a bedroom reveal a dramatic multicolored four-poster bed accompanied by animal-print details.

The look echoes another famously unconventional bedroom associated with the couple. Hello! Magazine reported in December 2024 that their Los Angeles home includes a multicolored four-poster bed, a snake-print rug, and matching snake-print wall panels. One fan even joked, "You're telling me Blake sleeps in that bed?"

Other portions of the duo's Oklahoma home shown in social media footage appear lighter and more traditional, while still incorporating Stefani's eclectic touches. In one clip, she carries tall branches through spacious rooms with patterned furnishings and statement rugs.

The Mansion Is Bigger than the Intimate Glimpses Suggest

Those smaller snapshots, however, reveal only part of the story. When viewed from outside, the scale of Shelton and Stefani's Oklahoma residence becomes considerably more dramatic.

The New York Post reported in 2021 that the then-newly built home near Tishomingo sits on a hill near a lake. The approach itself makes a statement, with two rows of trees lining both sides of a long driveway leading toward the residence.

The white mansion features a gray roof, Roman columns, a large front porch, a balcony, and an upper-floor deck, and dormer windows and multiple chimneys are visible across the roofline. The property reportedly appears to consist of three main sections, along with an additional semi-detached stone building.

And the backyard is hardly an afterthought. Photos reported at the time revealed a terraced garden, three covered patio areas, and a swimming pool with a Baja shelf.

The aerial images also put the family's gardening and outdoor activities into perspective. What can look like an ordinary patch of vegetables or flowers in a close-up photo becomes part of a much larger landscape surrounding the lakeside residence.

The Chapel Where Their Marriage Began

The Oklahoma property also carries considerable sentimental meaning for Stefani and Shelton. Before their wedding, a source told Us Weekly that Shelton had built a chapel on his Oklahoma ranch. "He did it himself with help," the insider said, adding that Stefani had given her "input" on the construction.

"It's really a tribute to their love. They are going to get married in the chapel, most likely early next year," the source added. Shelton reportedly proposed to Stefani at the chapel before they announced their engagement in October 2020.

At the time, Stefani was photographed with a large round solitaire diamond estimated to be between six and nine carats. The couple eventually married at Shelton's Oklahoma ranch on July 3, 2021.

The chapel was decorated with lush flowers and greenery, while a white tent and covered tables were set up outside. Guests included Stefani's parents, Dennis and Patty, as well as her three sons. "The Voice" Host Carson Daly officiated the ceremony.

Photos obtained after the celebration reportedly showed flowers and food trucks still remaining on the property. At the time, the chapel was said to be around a mile from the main home.

Reports associated it with Shelton's nearly 1,400-acre Ten Point Ranch, although the New York Post noted that it could not independently verify the chapel's exact location. The Ten Point Ranch was listed for sale in 2019, and it was unclear at the time of the 2021 reporting how much of the property Shelton continued to own.

Their Oklahoma Story Goes Beyond One Property

The mansion is not the only Oklahoma retreat associated with the couple. Hello! reported that Stefani and Shelton also have a villa-style residence at Lake Texoma featuring an outdoor pool, a swim-up tiki bar, and a balcony overlooking the pool and lake.

Images of that residence previously published by the Daily Mail showed palm trees incorporated into the property, giving it a noticeably vacation-like atmosphere. But Lake Texoma is more than a scenic setting for Shelton. He spent part of his childhood there on his parents' houseboat and later named his 11th studio album "Texoma Shore."

"As a kid growing up, we used to call it just 'going to the lake.' There's an area down there called Cumberland Cove and Catfish Bay," Shelton recalled in comments later republished by KNCI. He also said he eventually built a home directly on Lake Texoma and added a recording studio.

"I finally built a home down there right on Lake Texoma. When I did, I put a studio down there," Shelton said. "Lake Texoma has always been a place of great memories, new and old," he added.

From Oklahoma to Los Angeles

Their property portfolio stretches beyond the state that Stefani unexpectedly came to love. The couple also have a three-story family home in the San Fernando Valley area of Los Angeles, reportedly purchased for $13 million.

According to the reported property details, the home includes a theater, outdoor swimming pool and spa, tennis courts and an alfresco kitchen. Stefani and Shelton had moved into a "family home" in Los Angeles one month before announcing their engagement, according to Us Weekly.

Their collection of homes therefore reflects two very different sides of the life they have built together: the polished Los Angeles world Stefani knew well and the expansive Oklahoma landscape Shelton introduced her to.

Yet it is arguably Oklahoma that tells the more unexpected story. For Shelton, the state and nearby Lake Texoma are tied to memories stretching back to childhood.

For Gwen Stefani, it became somewhere she never imagined herself going, much less feeling so deeply connected to.
