Candace Cameron Bure Shares the Stage with Son Maksim in Matching Outfits — and Fans Can't Get Over How Much He Looks Like Her — Photos

The "Full House" actress brought her youngest son onstage in coordinating denim, but fans found something far more irresistible than their matching outfits.

Candace Cameron Bure, 50, shared Instagram photos from an event where she appeared alongside her son, Maksim Bure, 24, giving followers a peek at their time onstage and behind the scenes.

Their clothes made a lovely pairing, although the comments soon suggested that Mom deserved credit for considerably more than the styling.

D.J. Tanner and Her Boy Know How to Coordinate

For those of us who still feel a rush of affection at the mention of D.J. Tanner, seeing Candace share a professional moment with her own child is a special kind of sweet. We watched her play the big sister on "Full House," and here she is, positively delighted to have her youngest beside her.

Maksim wore a fitted black crewneck T-shirt with straight-leg, light-blue jeans and white low-top sneakers. It was an easy combination that let him look relaxed while standing alongside his famous mother.

Candace gave the same idea a little more polish with a sleeveless black scoop-neck tank tucked into wide-leg, high-waisted jeans. Cognac woven leather mules finished her outfit with a warm touch that worked beautifully against the pale denim.

The carousel also had room for a little wardrobe variety. In a candid dressing-room photograph, she wore an embellished white short-sleeved T-shirt with a floral accent at the shoulder, paired with a sparkling pastel floral sequin pencil skirt.

Other pictures showed Candace in an off-white halter-neck midi dress with a vintage feel. A wide tan leather belt defined her waist, while slouchy boots gave the look a more relaxed finish.

Maksim's black T-shirt and jeans remained a familiar presence through her changes of clothes. But once followers began discussing the pair, the conversation moved well beyond what either of them was wearing.

Candace shares Maksim and her two older children, Natasha Bure and Lev Bure, with her husband, former NHL player Valeri Bure. The couple married in June 1996, building the family that would eventually turn the actress into a real-life mother of three.

An earlier interview with People offered a sweet glimpse of those younger years. The conversation took place when Natasha was 12, Lev was 11, and Maksim was nine, with Candace discussing how she kept everyone close around her work.

At that point, her career included playing Summer Van Horn in ABC Family's gymnastics drama "Make It or Break It." She was also discussing "Truth Be Told," in which she starred opposite David James Elliott.

Asked about maintaining that family bond, Candace said, "We are a very close family and no matter what's on the schedule, we all stick together."

Her explanation made the arrangement clear: "If the boys have hockey practice, my daughter comes to the rink as well and vice versa." Being part of the family meant being there for each other, even when somebody else's activity filled the calendar.

She added, "We have dinner together just about every night and our weekends are all about having fun together."

Candace was already aware that childhood had an expiration date. She said, "My time is so short with them and I know that when they start driving, it will start to change."

With her sons, the activities were more likely to involve a ball or a trip outdoors. She explained, "My boys love to play sports, so they're excited when I join them to play basketball and soccer or take them bowling or to the skate park in Venice."

There was a quieter side to their time together as well. Candace Cameron Bure said, "My boys also love reading, so snuggling on the couch with a good book is always my favorite."
