Sabrina Carpenter made her Grammys debut in spectacular fashion, delivering a live performance of her hits "Espresso" and "Please Please Please." However, during her set, Taylor Swift was seen jumping and cheering, something that had many netizens talking.

The newly crowned Best Pop Vocal Album winner, Carpenter, started with a jazzy, comedic rendition of "Espresso" before transitioning into the original version, complete with tap dancing.

She then shifted to "Please Please Please" with a country twist before concluding with a return to "Espresso." It was a triumphant moment for her, as she also took home Best Pop Solo Performance for "Espresso."

During her performance, fan cameras captured Swift dancing along with producer Jack Antonoff, Margaret Qualley's husband, who worked on "Please Please Please." A video of the moment quickly went viral, with some praising Swift's support and others accusing her of diverting attention from Carpenter's big moment.

People posted a clip with the caption: "We love a supportive bestie — and that's exactly what #TaylorSwift is as she dances with #JackAntonoff, who produced #PleasePleasePlease, while #SabrinaCarpenter performs it! #Grammys2025."

However, not all reactions were positive. Many online users criticized Swift. One user commented, "Swift cannot stand not to be the center of attention for one minute." Another wrote, "Has to be center of attention always [sic]." A third added, "It's giving 'attention seeking behaviour' [sic]."

On the other hand, many fans defended the singer. One netizen posted, "Always love watching Taylor supporting the other artists [sic]!". Another added, "Always supporting the artists! Go Taylor!"

Some fans questioned why others in the audience remained seated, with one writing, "The real issue is why the heck everyone else is sitting down... boring [sic]." Another simply stated, "Taylor is lit 👌🏻 [sic]."

Meanwhile, the award show delivered several surprises. While Carpenter had a victorious night with two Grammy wins, Swift left the ceremony empty-handed. Despite six nominations, including Album of the Year, Record of the Year, and Song of the Year, she did not secure any trophies.

She was not alone in this disappointment. Billie Eilish, a 9-time Grammy winner, who was up for seven awards and performed "Birds of a Feather" with her brother Finneas, also walked away without a win.

Instead, one of the big awards of the night went to Beyoncé for Album of the Year for "Cowboy Carter." This marked her first win in the category and crowned her as the first Black woman to earn it since Lauryn Hill in 1999. Swift herself handed her this honor.

But the night's biggest winner was Kendrick Lamar, who swept all five categories in which he was nominated. His track "Not Like Us" dominated, nabbing Record of the Year, Song of the Year, Best Rap Song, Best Rap Performance, and Best Music Video.

While Swift's dancing became a focal point of online discussion, the 2025 Grammy Awards were ultimately defined by historic wins and unforgettable performances.
