The "Pirates of the Caribbean" actor was spotted in a Western-inspired outfit in the same country his ex-wife, Amber Heard, now calls home.

Johnny Depp recently stepped back into the spotlight, this time in full cowboy mode, and fans had plenty to say about his unexpected new look.

Depp was spotted filming a new Dior commercial in the hills of Villaspesa, Spain. He traded his usual rocker-chic style for a wide-brimmed cowboy hat and a Clint Eastwood-inspired poncho. The desert backdrop, along with his rugged wardrobe, gave off Wild West vibes as he moved through the shoot.

Photos from the set captured Depp fully embracing the role, looking relaxed and at ease despite the midday heat. He was seen sipping what appeared to be lemon-infused water, staying cool while taking directions between takes.

The commercial's filming location stirred added curiosity, given that it's the same country where his ex-wife, Amber Heard, now resides. But while Depp seemed unbothered under the Spanish sun, fans online had so much to say about his latest appearance and not all of it was praise.

One fan didn't hold back their concern, asking, "What happened to Johnny? 😢." Another offered a blunt take, "He's not that pretty anymore..." Someone else focused on a specific detail, noting, "Looks like he got new teeth. Its tough at first but kudos to him [sic]."

A more critical viewer pointed out, "He held on to his looks for a long time but he looks like everybody's random over-Botoxed Aunt Sheila now." One person chimed in with a beauty plea, "But can we get the eyebrows back?"
