The man in question is reportedly a possible stalker of the Hollywood star. According to the authorities, he had previously made comments about the actress on social media.
The suspect who was apprehended after he allegedly drove through the gates of Jennifer Aniston's Bel Air home has been identified as Jimmy Wayne Carwyle.
He was taken into custody after the 56-year-old California native's security held him at gunpoint. The Los Angeles Police Department is reportedly investigating a possible stalking situation as a result.
According to the authorities, investigators are looking into Carwyle's social media posts as evidence of the alleged stalking. There is a Facebook page that has several shocking and rambling posts including one from October 2024 wherein he mentions Aniston becoming "his bride."
The gate-crashing incident occurred on May 5, 2025, at noon. The police responded to a call about a "burglary suspect" at the star's property "ran his vehicle through the gate to the residence."
According to officer David Cuellar, Aniston was at home at the time of the incident. However, she and the suspect didn't interact and she was unharmed. Carwyle was arrested on suspicion of felony vandalism. Per reports, he is detained in the Los Angeles County jail without bail.
