Often spotted cheering from the sidelines or posting heartfelt tributes online, Patrick Mahomes' mom has been a steady influence throughout his life and career. While much of the spotlight shines on Patrick, Randi's presence in his story offers a deeper look at the family values that shaped the quarterback's rise.

Who Is Patrick Mahomes' Mom? Randi Martin's Life Before the Spotlight

Before she was known as Patrick Mahomes' mom, she was simply Randi from Troup, Texas — a small town of just over 1,000 people in East Texas. Family has always been at the core of her life. Raised alongside two older sisters and an older brother, Randi grew up in a close-knit household that still holds strong today.

Her parents remain together in the same modest home where she spent her childhood. With 56 first cousins and a large extended family, Randi was surrounded by support and tradition. From birthday parties to holiday gatherings, family events were a cornerstone of her upbringing.

Those early years shaped her values — loyalty, connection, and community — which she continues to carry into adulthood. Randi attended a small local school, staying with the same classmates from kindergarten through high school.

That stability helped her form lifelong bonds, including a best friend she's still close with today. She often credits her tight-knit hometown and devoted parents for molding the woman she became.

After high school, Randi met former MLB pitcher Pat Mahomes, the man who would later become her husband. She had no idea at the time that he was a professional athlete. During their marriage, the pair welcomed sons: Patrick and Jackson.

Life as the partner of a baseball player brought unique challenges, and eventually, the couple divorced in 2006. Still, Randi has maintained a friendly relationship with her ex-husband.

Through all of life's changes, Patrick Mahomes' mom remained grounded in family values and personal growth. She continued her work as an event planner at Hollytree Country Club, a position she's held since 2005.

The role perfectly suits her passion for bringing people together and organizing memorable moments, something she's known for among her friends and community.

Though her life is full, Randi has never stopped supporting her children, especially Patrick. As his fame has grown, she's stayed vocal about how proud she is of his success, but also clear that, to her, he's still the same boy from East Texas.

Even with the stadium lights and Super Bowl rings, Randi admits that being Patrick Mahomes' mom still feels personal and emotional. "Number 15 is different," she said, referring to his jersey number, adding that despite the fame, Patrick will always be her first-born.
