Kingston, Gwen and Gavin's first child, was born on May 26, 2006. Weighing 7.5 pounds at birth, he was delivered via Caesarean section at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center in Los Angeles, according to Gwen's publicist, Dave Tomberlin.

A report stated that Gavin exited the operating room after the birth to share the happy news with their family. A witness outside the hospital recalled that Gwen had arrived "wearing her signature red lipstick and looked so excited."

Then 36, the songstress announced her pregnancy in December 2005 during the final stop of her solo tour, describing it as "the end of a huge chapter for me." She met Gavin in 1995 when No Doubt opened for his band, Bush.

The former couple tied the knot in two ceremonies in London and Los Angeles in 2002. Following their divorce, Gwen and the British rocker have been coparenting, something Gavin discussed during his interview on the Not So Hollywood with Adrianna Costa podcast.

Asked how they manage coparenting, considering Gwen now has a different family setup, Gavin replied, "I think you can go one of two ways, you can either do everything together and really co-parent and see how that goes, or you can just parent."

The musician clarified that he and his ex-wife "just parent." He also pointed out the differences between them, saying they don't share many similarities in their parenting styles.

Gavin explained, "I think that gives them an incredible perspective to then choose which of which pieces of those two lives they'd like to inherit and move on with, and which part of themselves is it kind of comes out of the whole process because that's what's important is to give them a wide view of things."

He acknowledged that he and Gwen hold "some particularly opposing views," which he believes will ultimately help their children make independent decisions. Gavin also revealed that his children spend equal time with both parents.

The father of three sons also mentioned that his boys are now old enough to decide which values and experiences they want to carry into adulthood from either household. He also acknowledged the possibility that they may choose to be entirely different.

What Gavin cherishes most is that his sons are loved and supported regardless of which home they are in. Watching them grow has been a fresh experience every day for him. Above all, he values being "super connected" to his children.

It appears that Gavin's managed to impart something to his children: his oldest son has caught the music bug. In an August 2023 TikTok video, the teenager showed how he's followed in his parents' footsteps by performing at Blake's Ole Red bar and restaurant in Tishomingo, Oklahoma.

Kingston confidently performed on stage and received a hug from his stepfather afterward. In an interview that same year, Gwen spoke about her son's passion for music.

Discussing his songwriting skills, the former No Doubt frontwoman revealed, "King has been writing a bunch of amazing songs. When it's your kid, it's like, you love everything, but this is next level to me. These are really good songs."

She continued, "So Blake said, 'Hey, we got to go live now.' It's so different than writing a song — being able to sing live is a whole 'nother thing." In a May 2025 interview, Blake also shared insights on his stepchildren's musical talents.

Talking about Kingston and Zuma, 16, performing at his venue, he said, "When they get up there, you would assume they've been doing this for 10 years. They're very comfortable and not rattled at all."

He added, "They have three professional musicians in their life and have grown up standing on the side of the stages watching this their entire life, so they have it in their mind how to be when they get out there — but man, I sure wasn't that calm when I would get onstage."

Kingston, Zuma, and their younger brother Apollo, 11, have grown up with music around them. They grew up watching Gwen, Gavin, and Blake perform for live audiences.

Kingston has an Instagram account, although he's not very active. At the time of writing, he had only ten posts. Since around March 2022, his posts have mostly featured pictures with his girlfriend.

Most of their photos show them kissing as he celebrates her birthday and other milestones. According to his posts, Kingston and his girlfriend have been together for seven years and will celebrate their eighth anniversary in August this year.

Kingston is clearly carving out his own identity while carrying traces of his famous parents. As he steps into adulthood, he continues to shine both in the spotlight and in his personal growth.

As previously reported, Gwen was one of the artists who were meant to perform at the recent American Music Awards. However, one attendee noted that some performers did not sing live, despite being advertised as doing so.

On May 26, 2025, the American Music Awards (AMAs) were broadcast live from Fontainebleau in Las Vegas. Among the scheduled performers was Gwen. However, a significant inconsistency in her performance caught the attention of netizens.

That same day, a Stefani fan shared a now-viral video on TikTok claiming it was of the "live" performance. Over the clip, she wrote, "Gwen Stefani live at the AMAS," and added, "...the live view..., we've been lied to."

One viewer, laughing, remarked, "LOL even the performers didn't show up 😂."

Ironically, both the AMAs and CBS TV uploaded Gwen's pre-recorded performance to Instagram.

In the clip, the singer appeared fully dressed in her costume as she performed "The Sweet Escape" with a live band and backup dancers.

Gwen also performed "Hollaback Girl," with the AMAs posting a clip where she was seen receiving cheers and applause from the audience present at the event.

Set to her track "Swallow My Tears," Gwen also gave fans a closer look at her AMA's outfit. She walked the runway, twirled, and posed, showing off the short skirt and the dress's long, fluffy train.

The singer credited RandM's Rob Zangardi and Mariel Haenn for her styling, and noted that Hair Sulon's Suzette Boozer handled her hair.

She also shared several stills from her performance and captioned them, "thank u @amas 🤍🎤 so much fun! ✨."

The same person who posted Gwen's performance also uploaded footage of her husband, Blake, supposedly performing at the same event. Like his wife's set, a large screen displayed Blake in a pre-recorded video, singing and playing the guitar with his band.

Meanwhile, the actual stage featured a few people seated on chairs and others moving around in a dimly lit setting. It appeared that a band was setting up with keyboards and other instruments.

The video ended with the TikToker turning the camera on herself in the audience, looking unimpressed and bewildered. She revealed that Blake was another "live performer" who wasn't physically present, and added, "we were all SO confused. [sic]"

After returning home from the ceremony, the same woman posted an update on the awards show, expressing her frustration. Filming from her car, she explained her issues with the event.

She emphasized that neither Gwen nor Blake performed live, despite conflicting claims from the AMAs. While she wasn't against pre-recorded sets, she criticized the event for misleading attendees by promoting them as live performances.

She explained that she and a friend had bought tickets with the expectation of watching the couple perform live, and they were disheartened when that wasn't the case. The woman described the experience as a "slap to the face."

Additionally, she mentioned that she didn't get to see the anticipated performances featuring Post Malone with Blake, or Lainey Wilson with Jelly Roll. These acts reportedly weren't even acknowledged during the show, which led the TikToker to accuse the event of lacking transparency.

According to the TikToker, most awards weren't presented that evening, aside from a few, including "Artist of the Year." She even speculated that television viewers may have seen more awards than the in-person audience did.

The woman also discussed Taylor Swift, who was neither in attendance nor a winner that night. The TikToker believed Swift deserved the "Best Touring Artist" title for the worldwide Eras Tour. Furthermore, she noted that when the "Artist of the Year" nominees were announced, the audience's cheers for Swift were allegedly muted.

That moment was reportedly cut from the televised broadcast. In the end, the TikToker expressed that she was "very disappointed with the AMAs."

The controversy surrounding the 2025 AMAs has sparked debate over authenticity in live broadcasts. As fans demand greater transparency, event organizers may face increased scrutiny in how performances are presented and promoted.
