Gottlieb attended the 76th Monaco Red Cross Gala on Saturday, July 12, 2025, wearing a custom gown inspired by the dress Grace Kelly wore in Alfred Hitchcock's 1954 film "Rear Window."

For the gala, Gottlieb collaborated with Italian fashion designer Elisabetta Franchi to reinterpret the original look. While staying true to the silhouette of Kelly's black-and-white gown, Gottlieb introduced modern updates.

These included a plunging neckline, a high slit in the white tulle skirt, and silver floral embellishments at the waist. Unlike the original, her version was less voluminous and slightly more structured in form.

Kelly's original dress featured an off-the-shoulder black bodice paired with a full white skirt adorned with black embroidery. She accessorized it with pearl jewelry, gloves, and strappy heels.

On the other hand, Gottlieb's version echoed the off-the-shoulder cut but opted for a deeper neckline and omitted gloves, pairing the dress with pointed black heels and a delicate diamond necklace.

In another Instagram post shared on July 13, 2025, she wrote, "Throwback to the @croixrougemc Gala evening. Thanks to @elisabettafranchi I was able to pay tribute to my grandmother with this beautiful dress."

The look sparked a wave of reactions on social media. On Facebook, one person said, "I see the same eyes. Stunning each in there [sic] own ways." Another commented, "This is absolutely stunning, the spitting image of her grandma."

Some opinions were more critical. One netizen remarked, "Not the dress.. grand daughter has harsher looks. Not the petite face of grandmother [sic]."

Another quipped, "The granddaughter is beautiful, but she is not the spitting image, at least not in this photo. Not even the dress. I'm not really seeing a lot in common as far as bone structure. The jawline is different. The mouth is different. The eyes are different. Maybe the nose."

Instagrammers also shared their thoughts. One expressed, "Your wonderful grandmother has never looked as beautiful as when she wore that dress for Rear Window. I have that photo of her at my place. You look a lot like her, and your dress is very well done."

Gottlieb's tribute through fashion also stirred interest in the life and legacy of her grandmother, the Hollywood star who became royalty.

Born Grace Patricia Kelly in Philadelphia, she began acting in 1950 at age 20. Before becoming a household name in cinema, she appeared in New York theatrical productions and performed in over 40 live television dramas during the Golden Age of Television.

Her breakthrough came in 1953 with the film "Mogambo," alongside Clark Gable and Ava Gardner. The role earned her a Golden Globe and an Academy Award nomination in 1954.

Kelly quickly rose to stardom with leading roles in "The Country Girl," for which she received the Academy Award for Best Actress, and other major productions such as "High Noon," "High Society," and a trio of Alfred Hitchcock classics: "Dial M for Murder," "Rear Window," and "To Catch a Thief."

At just 26, she retired from acting to marry Rainier III, Prince of Monaco. She became Her Serene Highness The Princess of Monaco and was widely known as Princess Grace. The couple had three children: Caroline, Albert, and Stéphanie.

Kelly's impact extended beyond film. Often referred to as one of the "classic Hitchcock blondes," she was recognized for her elegance and iconic fashion.

In 1955, Time magazine featured her on its cover and praised her refined presence in contrast to the typical Hollywood image. She earned the title "Best-Tailored Woman" from the Custom Tailored Guild of America and was inducted into the International Best Dressed List Hall of Fame in 1960.

Her influence on fashion was enduring. During her pregnancy with her eldest daughter in 1956, Kelly was frequently photographed shielding her stomach with a Hermès handbag. The images helped popularize the accessory, later renamed the "Kelly bag."

In 2009, she was honored with a plaque on the Rodeo Drive Walk of Style, and her style has been recognized by designers like Tommy Hilfiger and Zac Posen. Exhibitions such as "Grace Kelly: Style Icon" at the Victoria and Albert Museum have celebrated her fashion legacy.

Kelly also left a mark on philanthropy. Unable to return to acting after marriage, she turned to charitable work, founding the Princess Grace Foundation in 1964 to support Monaco's local artists.

She also launched AMADE Mondiale, a Monaco-based nonprofit focused on protecting the well-being of children worldwide. The organization is still active today under the leadership of her daughter, Princess Caroline.

Following her death, the Princess Grace Foundation-USA (PGF-USA) was established to continue her work in supporting emerging artists in film, theater, and dance. The foundation also oversees the global licensing of her name and likeness.

Kelly died on September 14, 1982, at age 52, after suffering a stroke while driving. The resulting car crash proved fatal. Her daughter, Princess Stéphanie, who was also in the vehicle, survived.

Despite her early passing, Kelly remains one of the most revered figures in both cinematic and royal history. She was ranked 13th by the American Film Institute on its list of top female stars of American cinema.

Gottlieb's appearance at the 2025 Red Cross Gala not only paid tribute to her grandmother's timeless style but also served as a reminder of Kelly’s enduring influence in film, fashion, and philanthropy.
