Hulk Hogan's Ex-Wife Linda Posted a Curious Throwback Just Four Days Before His Death
Hulk and Linda Hogan had a famously contentious separation that led to an irreparable rift in their family. After his passing, one of his ex-wife’s recent posts has taken on a new meaning.
On July 24, 2025, professional wrestler Hulk Hogan died after suffering cardiac arrest at his home in Clearwater, Florida. He was 71 years old.
Five days before his death, on July 19, his ex-wife shared an unexpectedly sentimental throwback post on social media — which has now become a poignant and prescient tribute.

In the wake of the wrestler’s death, a post from his first wife Linda has taken on a new, more somber meaning. Days before her ex-husband died, Linda shared a nostalgic throwback post on Instagram.
The post featured an undated photo of Hulk and Linda in the mid-1990s. In the picture, she looked stunning in a tight black shoulderless dress with matching long gloves, while he wore his classic yellow-and-red "Hulkster" WCW outfit.
"The good old days ! [sic]," Linda captioned the post. For many former couples, such reminiscing might seem entirely ordinary. But Hulk and Linda were hardly like most former couples.
Given their scandalous divorce and recent expressions of resentment, Linda’s July 19 throwback post came somewhat out of the blue. Now, after his passing, it seems like a poignant and oddly prescient tribute.

Hulk and Linda married in 1983 and had two children, Brooke and Nick Hogan. They were married for decades before their relationship gained global prominence after the debut of the VH1 reality TV hit "Hogan Knows Best," in 2005.
They had a contentious and highly publicized divorce in 2007 after Hulk reportedly had an affair with one of his daughter’s friends. Hulk’s reality show was also canceled that year.

The end of their marriage marked the beginning of years-long estrangement and struggle. In March 2025, TMZ shared an emotional video, reportedly posted by Linda on social media, in which she described her family as "the worst mess."
She revealed she hadn’t had contact with Brooke in over seven years but remained close with Nick. She called Hulk a "complete liar" and a "sex addict," and expressed frustration at seeing him publicly celebrated.

Brooke responded to her mother’s video with a statement of her own on Instagram. She recounted lifelong "extreme" verbal and psychological abuse that sometimes turned physical and held both Hulk and Linda accountable.
"I am breaking the chain. It ends with ME," she wrote. "Each individual, on their own, has given me more than enough reasons over the years to make this extremely hard and painful decision to end contact."

After Hulk’s death was confirmed by the press, users began commenting on Linda’s throwback post. As of this writing, more than 300 fans have left heartfelt messages to share their sorrow and wish her well.
According to TMZ, paramedics were dispatched to his home early Thursday morning. Video recordings show several EMTs attending to Hulk outside his home and performing chest compressions.
Their efforts proved unsuccessful, and the iconic wrestler was pronounced dead later that morning at a local hospital. After news of his death broke, statements and tributes quickly poured in on social media.
"WWE is saddened to learn legendary WWE Hall of Famer Hulk Hogan has passed away. One of pop culture’s most recognizable figures, Hogan helped WWE achieve global recognition in the 1980s," wrote wrestling's largest promotion.
The organization also extended condolences to Hulk’s family and friends, as well as to his many fans.
His passing comes only two years after his marriage to Sky Hogan, his third wife. They married in an intimate ceremony in September 2023, which Sky documented in an Instagram video montage.
Their relationship was revealed to the public in 2022 in an Instagram post from Sky. They were behind the curtains at an unspecified event, both clad in black and white clothing.
"Backstage selfie with my sweetheart ❤️💛," Sky captioned the post.
Hulk's death comes just two months shy of their second wedding anniversary. We extend our condolences to Linda, Sky, the rest of the Hogan family, and all those in mourning at this difficult time.
