Oasis Fan Dies During Band's Concert at Wembley Stadium
As tens of thousands of fans sang along to Oasis's anthems under the lights of Wembley Stadium, one family's world was quietly and irrevocably shattered. Amid the joy of the long-awaited band's reunion, tragedy struck, turning a night of music and nostalgia into one of unimaginable grief.
A man has died after falling from a height during an Oasis reunion concert at London's Wembley Stadium on Saturday night, according to the Metropolitan Police. Emergency services were called to the scene at 10:19 p.m. BST.

According to a spokesperson for the police, the man, believed to be in his 40s, was reportedly found with injuries "consistent with a fall." He was pronounced dead at the scene despite the efforts of medics, police, and the London Ambulance.
The man reportedly fell from an upper tier of the 90,000-capacity venue, where Oasis was performing one of seven sold-out shows as part of their "Oasis Live '25" reunion tour.
The band had taken the stage at 8:15 p.m., and the incident reportedly occurred shortly before the scheduled end of their set at 10:15 p.m., according to the timeline on Wembley Stadium's website. Police said the stadium was crowded at the time and urged witnesses, whether in person or those who may have captured the incident on mobile phones, to come forward with information.
In a statement released by Wembley Stadium, officials reportedly said:
"Medics, police and the London Ambulance Service had attended to the injured man. Despite their efforts, the fan very sadly died. Our thoughts go out to his family, who have been informed and are being supported by specially trained police officers."
People reported that they obtained a statement made by the band. In the statement, the band said, "We are shocked and saddened to hear of the tragic death of a fan at the show last night. Oasis would like to extend our sincere condolences to the family and friends of the person involved."
The man was identified in a GoFundMe campaign as Lee Claydon, a beloved father, partner, uncle, and brother. His brother, Aaron Claydon, created the fundraiser. On the page, Aaron said, "I have set up this gofundme page for Amanda, Harry, Matthew and James who have very sadly and tragically lost their Dad, partner and also my brother Lee, the man I have always looked up to [sic]."
Aaron continued, "Our family has been turned upside down and are struggling to deal with this devastation and unexpected loss. Lee leaves behind his Son, Dad, Partner, Brothers, Sisters, Nephews and Niece [sic]," adding:
"Lee loved all outdoor activities, one of his favourite hobbies was fishing. He also loved music and his guitar. He also really enjoyed going to watch and support the boys and his nephew at their football games."
Aaron also paid tribute to his brother on his social media page. He expressed his sadness over the loss of his brother, adding that living without him will be tough, as Lee was his role model.
Another member of the Claydon family, Lennon Claydon, paid tribute to the deceased. Lennon and Lee attended the concert. On his Facebook, Lennon wrote that he had no words to describe the loss. He added that Lee will never be forgotten.
Lee's partner, Amanda, also expressed deep heartbreak over her partner's sudden death, struggling to come to terms with his absence. She described him as her best friend and soulmate.
Now left to navigate life without him, the grieving partner vowed to stay strong for their children and ensure he would be proud of them. She also acknowledged the support of Lee's incredible family and friends, finding comfort in shared memories.
The concert was part of Oasis's long-anticipated reunion, which officially launched with an announcement on Tuesday, August 27, 2024, as reported by People. The British rock band revealed details of their 2025 tour, which includes multiple stadium dates across the U.K. and Ireland.
The announcement came nearly 15 years after the Gallagher brothers' notorious backstage split at the Rock en Seine festival in 2009. The band described their return as a long-awaited moment, reportedly saying, "The guns have fallen silent. The stars have aligned. The great wait is over. Come see. It will not be televised."
On Instagram, they added, "This is it, this is happening." Noel and Liam Gallagher kicked off the highly anticipated tour in July 2025 and are scheduled to perform next in Edinburgh on August 8, 9, and 12 before heading to Ireland, Canada, the U.S., and Mexico. The band will return to Wembley for two final shows on September 27 and 28.
What was meant to be a triumphant evening of music and reunion has become a somber reminder of life's fragility. While the tour moves forward, Lee's memory will remain etched in the hearts of those who loved him and in the shared silence that followed the music that night at Wembley.
