Inside Ben and Mor Shapiro's Love Story

The couple, introduced by Ben's younger sister, had a whirlwind romance. They began dating in September 2007 and were engaged by December of the same year. During an episode of "The Ben Shapiro Show," Ben was asked how he knew Mor was the one. He replied:

"My wife happens to be smoking hot, so this definitely was the initial draw."

Beyond physical attraction, they also shared the same values. Ben recalled that on their first date, they spent three hours discussing free will and determinism, as well as how many children they wanted. "We were dating for marriage," he said.

They married in July 2008 in a traditional Jewish ceremony in Mor's home country. Ben was 24, and Mor was 20. He later wrote on his blog, "Together we plan, with the help of God, on having healthy, happy, freedom-loving children who will grow up with the security provided by the armed guard." The pair have since welcomed four children together and have been married for 15 years now.

Ben Shapiro on the Benefits and Lessons of Marrying Young

Ben has reflected on marrying young, noting that one can often tell within the first year if they have found the right person. In a September 2023 appearance on "The Iced Coffee Hour," he said it is possible to figure out if someone is the wrong match within the first ten minutes of meeting.

"The nice thing about getting married young is that you're able to sort of shape each other a little bit, which is nice," he added. He explained that when people marry later in life, they often have more personal baggage and established habits, which can make it harder to align as a couple.

When he and Mor celebrated their tenth wedding anniversary, Ben said their marriage was better than ever and shared the lessons he had learned. According to him, sharing values, supporting each other's dreams, being ready for change, making time for one another, and accepting help from a spouse all make marriage more fulfilling.
