The 23-time Grand Slam champion's appearance has evolved over the years, shifting from her on-court look during her professional tennis days to her style in retirement.

Serena Williams's latest mirror selfies have sparked debate among fans, with some expressing concern over her noticeably slimmer frame while others continued to celebrate her beauty.

On August 12, the tennis legend struck a pose in front of a mirror, snapping photos in a sleek black silk skirt paired with a sleeveless crop top that highlighted her toned midriff and noticeably slimmer arms.

She completed the look with red open-toe heels, while her blonde hair framed her face in soft waves. Williams captioned the shot, "But wait, let me take Celfie’." The pictures she posted quickly sparked a conversation online.

Some followers were startled, with one admitting, "Something is off." Another couldn't hide their curiosity, asking, "What has she done to herself?" Someone else checked in with concern, "Are you ok?"

One observer drew comparisons to her athletic past, "She is so thin now her arms that won her all those grand slams look so frail now. She would definitely not have any power left to compete against the ladies nowadays with those skinny arms and tiny frame she would be over powered by most of the girls on tour."

Another person reflected on the transformation, "If this is really her it's sad. And sad because she was a beautiful black woman who young girls looked up to. It's alright to lose weight change your hair but when you totally change your appearance one has to wonder if there is some underlying issue."

Others voiced their alarm openly, "No joking -- is Serena OK? This has been a shocking weight loss. I certainly DON'T want anything to be wrong with her!!! 💜🙏🏿." A stunned netizen chimed in, "Where did she go? Like literally, she's shrinking." Another person summed it up simply, "Not healthy weight loss."

Still, the praise rolled in too, with one admirer gushing, "She looks incredible 🔥😍." Compliments continued as another fan declared, "She looks great. She is great. Wow, she has lost weight! People shouldn't assume how or why she lost weight or judge her for it. It’s her body, her life."

In recent years, Williams appears to have embraced a dedicated fitness journey, with recent months highlighting her toned physique. Here's a look at how her appearance has transformed over time.
