A Proposal That Included the Kids

One of Heidi's most heart-melting family moments came when her now-husband, guitarist Tom Kaulitz, proposed. The couple began dating in 2018 and married in 2019. In a 2024 interview with People, she recalled:

"The sweetest thing that my partner has done for me is that he asked my kids first if he could ask for my hand...So he kind of was in cahoots with my kids."

The supermodel also shared that Tom and her children planned the proposal together and surprised her on Christmas morning six years ago. She said it was especially meaningful to her that he included them.

Leni Klum

Born in May 2004, Leni Olumi Klum, 21, is the eldest of Heidi's four children. Her biological father is Italian businessman Flavio Briatore, but it was English singer Seal who stepped in early and became her full-time father figure.

Seal was present at Leni's birth in a New York hospital, celebrated her arrival with champagne, and later adopted her formally.

A friend of Seal's reportedly told People, "He is crazy about Leni. He is always carrying her around. He is the first one to change a diaper." Seal even dedicated his album "Best: 1991–2004" first to "my daughter Leni," before naming Heidi and her parents.

Leni grew up appearing at her mother's side, from casual walks to glamorous events. Now a professional model, she's walked in runway shows, starred in major campaigns, and stunned at events like Heidi's 2022 Halloween bash and the U.S. Open with Seal.

Like Leni, her younger brother Henry is now starting to walk his own stylish path.

Henry Samuel

Born in September 2005, Henry Günther Ademola Dashtu Samuel, 20, is Heidi's first son with Seal. His name pays tribute to both sides of the family, "Günther" from Heidi's father and "Dashtu" from Seal's Nigerian roots.

As a child, Henry was often seen in public with Heidi, whether on walks, attending events, or spending time with family.

Now, he's stepping into the spotlight in his own right as a model, having once appeared in a striking Elle Magazine photo shoot alongside her.

On Facebook, Heidi gushed, "May I introduce to you my handsome, smart, funny, kind, loving son @henryguenthersamuel. I'm so proud of you!"

Johan Riley Fyodor Taiwo Samuel, born in 2006, is the second child of Heidi and Seal. While the 19-year-old stays out of the spotlight, he has appeared during family outings and public events throughout the years.
