Details on '90 Day Fiancé' Leida Margaretha's Baby Girls Passing Revealed
A reality TV star's world was shattered by unthinkable tragedy last summer, and now, months later, the circumstances surrounding that loss are raising serious and deeply troubling questions.
"90 Day Fiancé" alum Leida Margaretha and husband Eric Rosenbrook had barely brought baby Alisa Eleanor Rosenbrook home when the worst happened.
And now, months later, a formal investigation has revealed the circumstances around her death and pointed to a culprit. But the distraught father is currently challenging those findings and will not back down.

What Originally Happened to the Baby?
The Fourth of July weekend of 2025 should have been a celebration. Instead, it became the beginning of the worst chapter of Eric and Leida's lives, and it started with an incident in the middle of the night.
Just before 3 a.m. on July 5, police showed up at the couple's Wisconsin home and left with Eric in handcuffs, booked on domestic battery and disorderly conduct charges.

Leida would later tell her followers that he had been drinking that night, and that things turned physical when she refused to pass their newborn daughter over to him.
Eric was locked up while Leida stayed alone in that house with the five-week-old baby and her 12-year-old son, Alessandro, from a previous relationship. But the night was far from over.
What Happened Just a Few Hours Later?
Sometime later that same day, with Eric still behind bars, baby Alisa stopped breathing. Leida desperately called 911.
Emergency responders from the City of Adams Police Department and LifeStar Ambulance Service arrived at the scene, and the tiny infant was rushed first to a nearby hospital, Gunderson Moundview Hospital.
Then, she transferred urgently to UW Health American Family Children's Hospital in Madison, where a team of specialists took over her care.
For five days, she held on, and for five days, her parents waited on opposite sides of an unspoken chasm. Sadly, on July 9, little Alisa passed.

The next day, Eric took to Facebook. "It destroys me and shatters my world to announce that over the weekend tragedy has struck," he wrote, sharing that Alisa had "slipped the surely bonds to join her grandfather Tom."
He asked only for prayers and made it clear he had no intention of reading messages or answering anyone's questions. He seemed so deep in grief, and something that looked a lot like anger, that he had effectively shut the world out entirely.
What Was Leida's Reaction Back Then?
While Eric's post crackled with grief, Leida's response, by contrast, was far more measured.
Throughout Alisa's hospitalization, she posted to Instagram, hinting at personal pain in the vaguest possible terms.
When alleged exchanges between her and a blogger later made the rounds, they raised even more eyebrows, because she appeared strikingly composed, and her account of what had happened to Alisa kept supposedly shifting depending on who she was speaking to.
Around mid-July, Eric reportedly messaged that same blogger to mention that Leida had taken Alessandro to Indonesia and left him in the care of her family there before flying back to the US on her own.

It seemed like an odd detail at the time, but it would later surface in official records confirming the boy was safe with relatives, pointing to just how much had been quietly set in motion behind the scenes.
What Are the New Findings from Officials?
Then came March 2026, and with it, a revelation that reframed everything. The findings that investigators had spent months quietly assembling were now on the record, and they were breathtaking in their severity.

The Medical Examiner's Office had officially ruled Alisa's death "non-accidental."
The Adams County Health and Human Services Department went even further, stating its assessment had "found a preponderance of the evidence to substantiate maltreatment of physical abuse to the infant by the mother."
In short, these means officials were blaming Leida.
The six-month summary report, filed with Wisconsin's Department of Children and Families, explained a timeline that made the findings even harder to absorb.
A caseworker had been inside that very home just three days before Alisa was hospitalized, sitting across from Leida, Alisa, and Alessandro during a scheduled home visit.
And a full week before that, a neglect complaint had already been filed with the agency specifically concerning Alessandro, meaning that on the day everything collapsed, this family was already under active scrutiny.

Still, at this time, the agency has confirmed that "no criminal charges have been filed in this case, and the investigation remains open."
Why is Eric Fighting These Claims?
Eric wasn't about to let those findings go unchallenged. Days after the report became public, he went straight to TMZ with a pointed message: he and Leida, who he confirmed are still married, had retained a private medical examiner, and that expert had serious problems with how the original autopsy was handled.

According to Eric, their specialist found that critical steps in the examination were never completed, and that the report failed to establish a clear timeline for when a referenced fracture actually occurred.
He argued that one injury may trace all the way back to Alisa's C-section birth roughly five weeks before she died, and that a rib fracture flagged in the findings could just as plausibly have resulted from the CPR performed by first responders during resuscitation, since that kind of pressure is known to cause bone fractures even under the best circumstances.

Beyond the autopsy itself, Eric claimed the county agency stonewalled the couple when they attempted to submit additional evidence months prior, and insisted that even local law enforcement had never actually placed blame on Leida.
His frustration with CPS spilled over entirely when speaking to the outlet, where he called the agency "the definition of fascism" and said, "As far as CPS goes, they're a hammer and every parent is a nail."

Where Things Stand Now
No charges have been filed, the investigation remains open, and the standoff between the couple and the official record shows no sign of cooling down.
When TMZ pressed Eric on whether he and Leida were considering having more children together, he said they hadn't arrived at a decision yet.

But the ground they're already standing on is precarious enough. State documents, filed and finalized, name Leida as the substantiated perpetrator of physical abuse against a child who lived for only a few weeks.
Still, the couple's private examiner may yet find enough to challenge those findings, and the criminal investigation may still reach its own conclusions regarding this terrible tragedy.
