CeCe Winans recently shared a new update about her health journey — but it is her latest photos that are getting the most attention. The gospel legend also revealed the "big change" she made while trying to lose weight in her 60s.

CeCe Winans is speaking candidly about the health changes she made as she entered her 60s. The Grammy-winning gospel singer recently shared that she began paying closer attention to her eating habits after dealing with low energy, aches, and sleep issues.
Winans, who turned 60 in 2024, said she has a positive outlook on aging. In an interview with Woman's World, she said growing older does not bother her.
"I don't mind it at all. I figured a long time ago either I'm older or I'm dead, so I'll take older," she said with a laugh. "I'm ready to go to heaven whenever God is ready, but while I'm here, let me keep going."

The singer later opened up more about her health during a February 2025 episode of "Generations with CeCe Winans: Health with Rochelle T. Parks," where she appeared alongside her daughter, Ashley Phillips, and health advocate Rochelle T. Parks.
During the discussion, the 18-time Grammy winner reflected on becoming more mindful about her eating habits and sugar intake as she has gotten older.
Winans said the conversation also made her think more seriously about the connection between diet and overall wellness.
"But at my age... dealing with not being able to sleep and then feeling aches and pains," Winans said. "When you realize, 'Wait a minute, all of this is tied to sugar?' I got to make that commitment, you know."

The "Goodness of God" singer first spoke publicly about trying to lose weight in 2023. In a video shared on her official TikTok account, Winans said she began the journey at the start of her tour after realizing she wanted to improve her energy levels and stamina.
Speaking on the platform, Winans said she started watching her caloric intake as part of the process, calling it a "big change" for her. She also admitted that the progress has been slower than expected.
"When you get to be my age, it takes a minute for you to come off," Winans said. "But as long as it's going in the right direction." Winans ended the video with a laugh before adding, "Pray for me!"
