Courteney Cox, 62, Spotted in a Black Bikini During Hawaii Beach Outing — Photos
Courteney Cox is giving fans a glimpse of her laid-back side during a Hawaiian getaway, far removed from the glitz of Hollywood. The Friends star, 62, was recently spotted enjoying a beach outing, and her latest photos offer a closer look at a side of her appearance that rarely features the usual red-carpet polish.
Courteney was photographed on October 10, 2026, wearing a black bikini as she enjoyed the beach. The outing came during her trip to Hawaii for the wedding of her close friend, jewelry designer Jennifer Meyer, who married billionaire heir Geoffrey Ogunlesi at the Four Seasons Resort Lanai.

Inside Cox's Hawaiian Getaway
The 62-year-old actress was in Hawaii to celebrate the wedding of her close friend, jewelry designer Jennifer Meyer, to billionaire heir Geoffrey Ogunlesi. The couple tied the knot at the Four Seasons Resort Lanai, with Leonardo DiCaprio, Kate Hudson, and Tobey Maguire among the famous faces connected to the celebration.

Away from the wedding festivities was when Courteney made time for the beach outing. The Cougar Town star was photographed smiling as she stood in the ocean, wearing a black bikini accessorized with layered gold necklaces and earrings.
She wore her hair in a ponytail before wading into the water, where she was photographed standing knee-deep in the ocean. After her dip, Courteney wrapped a towel around herself to dry off, enjoying a relaxed moment by the shore.

Fans React to Her Beach Photos
The photos prompted a range of reactions, with some commenters praising Courteney's appearance and others offering more measured opinions about the attention surrounding her bikini outing.
One commenter questioned whether the actress was really turning heads but still gave her credit for her appearance, writing, "Might be a stretch to say she’s turning heads. Holding it together better than most women in her age, though."
Another encouraged Courteney to make the most of the sunshine, commenting, "Get that sun, girl. Fast. 🌞" A third commenter suggested that maintaining one's appearance comes down to self-care, writing, "I mean, if you take care of yourself this happens!"
The conversation continued on Instagram, where one person appeared to think the actress could use a little more color, commenting, "Need a tan!!!!!" Another fan was more direct in their praise, writing, "She looks incredible."
The reactions reflected different opinions about Courteney's beach appearance, but they also brought attention to the actress's long-running relationship with beauty standards and the pressure to maintain a youthful look in Hollywood.
Cox Has Been Honest About Her Biggest Beauty Regret
Courteney has previously spoken candidly about her experiences with cosmetic treatments, including her decision to dissolve facial fillers after realizing that trying to fight the signs of aging had taken her in a direction she did not want to go.
In a 2019 interview with PEOPLE, the actress explained that accepting the aging process had been difficult, particularly in an industry where appearance often attracts intense scrutiny. “You have to accept getting older, and that’s something that I had a hard time doing,” Courteney said.
She explained that she initially turned to injectable fillers because she was unhappy with her appearance and wanted to keep up with the passage of time.
However, she eventually reached a point when she looked at herself and realized something had changed. “I didn't realize it until one day I kind of stepped back and went, ‘Oh [expletive]. I don’t look like myself,” she told the publication.
After dissolving her fillers, Courteney said she felt more comfortable embracing her natural appearance rather than trying to alter it. "So now I just embrace who I am and getting older with what God gave me, not what I was trying to change," she said.
The actress also described feeling more confident in herself, explaining that she had reached a stage in life when she could be comfortable with who she was and who she wanted to become.
The 'Friends' Star Once Called Fillers a 'Domino Effect'
Courteney revisited the subject in a 2023 appearance on the Gloss Angeles beauty podcast, where she discussed her biggest beauty regret with hosts Kirbie Johnson and Sara Tan. Her answer was immediate — "Fillers."
The actress explained that the treatments had created what she described as a "domino effect," making her feel as though she needed more injections to maintain an appearance that had gradually become unfamiliar to others. "You don’t realize that you look a little off, so then you keep doing more because you look normal to yourself," Courteney explained.
She added that looking in the mirror can make it difficult to recognize when cosmetic treatments have gone too far, particularly when the changes happen gradually. "And you look in the mirror and go, 'Oh, that looks good.' You don't realize what it looks like to the outside person."
Courteney admitted that worrying about getting older when she was still young had been a waste of time. After having most of the fillers dissolved, she said she was able to reverse many of the changes and accept that she was simply getting older. "Luckily I was able to reverse most of that, and now I'm actually just older," she said.
The actress also recalled looking back at photographs from the period when she believed her appearance was fine and being surprised by what she saw. She even considered posting before-and-after pictures to illustrate the difference, although her publicist reportedly discouraged her from doing so.
In the podcast conversation, Courteney also made clear that she prefers a lighter approach to makeup, saying she thinks she looks horrible with too much of it. She has previously said that her daughter, Coco Arquette, whom she shares with ex-husband David Arquette, inspires her beauty routine.
"I just love the way she does her makeup," Courtney said of her daughter, adding that she listens to her advice.
The actress's comments offer some context for the fresh-faced appearance in her Hawaii beach photos. Rather than presenting herself through a heavily styled red-carpet look, Courteney's casual outing is consistent with her previously expressed preference for a more natural approach to beauty.
Pilates, Tennis, and Interval Training Help Keep Her Active
Courteney has also spoken about the exercise routines she uses to stay active and maintain her fitness. In an interview with New You, the actress described a routine that combines Pilates, walking, running, resistance exercises, and tennis.
"I do Pilates three times a week with an amazing teacher, Jessica McTighe. I'm also into walking, then running. I walk for a minute, then I run for a minute. I try to do that for 30 minutes, three times a week."
"For toning, I like to use those bands and walk across the floor sideways and then front. I also play tennis on Sundays. It's just a bummer that you can’t bank workouts. When I'm off for two weeks, I'll be really consistent, and I'm like, 'Wow, my body's looking much better.' But then all of the sudden, I can't work out for two weeks and go from scratch," she added.
Her approach to wellness also includes paying attention to what she eats. She told the publication, "Luckily, some of my favorite foods in the world are vegetables. I just love kale, spinach, broccoli, asparagus. Anything green I crave."
"I also eat a lot of protein like steak, chicken, and some fish like tilapia. Don't get me wrong, I love pasta and potatoes, and every now and then I'll eat sweet potato fries, but right now, I'm on a really no-carb thing. After Thanksgiving, it was pretty intense."
In an interview with Marie Claire, Courteney also revealed that she takes vitamins every morning and once became so committed to drinking celery juice that she continued the habit while traveling.
"I take vitamins every morning. I used to do celery juice in the morning for about two years. I was so obsessed with it that I even did it on vacation. I would find a way to get a juicer and do it," she told the magazine.
A More Comfortable Relationship With Aging
Courteney's Hawaii outing comes against the backdrop of her increasingly open conversations about appearance, confidence, and the realities of growing older in Hollywood.
Her past comments suggest that she no longer wants to chase an idealized version of youth at the expense of recognizing herself. Instead, she has spoken about accepting the changes that come with age and focusing on feeling comfortable in her own skin.
That does not mean every observer will agree on how she looks in her latest photos, as the differing reactions to her bikini appearance demonstrate. Still, the images offer a glimpse of the actress away from the cameras, surrounded by the sunshine and scenery of Hawaii.
And for a star who has spent years discussing the pressure to look younger, the relaxed, makeup-free appearance adds another chapter to her evolving beauty story.
As we previously reported, Courteney recently reunited with her daughter, Coco Arquette, for a rare public appearance at the Toronto International Film Festival on September 12, 2026. The mother-daughter moment coincided with the premiere of Evil Genius, marking Courteney's return to feature-film directing after a 12-year gap.
Courteney brought Evil Genius to TIFF on September 12, marking a major moment for the actress as she returned to feature-film directing after a 12-year gap. The project is her second feature as a director, following 2014’s Just Before I Go, and getting it to the screen was hardly a quick process, according to IndieWire.

A Long-Awaited Film Brings the Family Together
In an interview with IndieWire, Courteney explained that it took eight years to get Evil Genius off the ground, with the COVID-19 lockdown and two industry strikes contributing to the lengthy development process.
"It took me eight years to get this off the ground," she said, explaining that she had continued directing television and music videos while waiting for the right story to come along.

The story was one Courteney simply could not let go. She became interested in Evil Genius after meeting documentary filmmaker Barbara Schroeder at the Beverly Hills Hotel, where Schroeder told her the project was available to direct.
"I couldn't let [the story] go because I loved it," Courteney told The Hollywood Reporter. The resulting film takes on the bizarre 2003 "pizza bomber" case, in which Erie, Pennsylvania, pizza deliveryman Brian Wells was kidnapped, had a homemade bomb locked around his neck, and was ordered to rob a bank.
Courteney said she wanted to explore the human side of the story rather than simply focus on the shocking crime. Her approach involved creating a film with a strong sense of place, intimate camerawork and a tone that could move between humor, tension and tragedy.
Coco Had More Than One Reason to Be There
The TIFF appearance also carried a distinctly personal touch because Coco is not merely cheering her mother on from the sidelines. The 22-year-old has a small part in Evil Genius, making the movie something of a family affair alongside Courteney's former sister-in-law Patricia Arquette and Patricia's daughter, Harlow Jane.
Courteney spoke warmly about having her daughter on set, telling E! News that she did not have to become an overprotective "mama bear" while directing her. Instead, she joked that she was more likely to tell Coco, "Get it together!"
“She holds her own,” Courteney said, adding that she did not need to be protective of her daughter. She also praised Coco as "a little force" and "an incredible actor," saying that everyone on set loved having her there.
Patricia also offered a glimpse into Coco’s acting background, explaining that she has been studying since she was very young and has performed in shows and plays. "They're fifth-generation actresses, our little daughters," Patricia said, referring to Coco and Harlow.
Courteney, meanwhile, described the experience of making the film as both difficult and rewarding. "This has been such a great experience," she said at the TIFF premiere, adding, "It's been hard and great, and I can't wait to see it with a bunch of people. I'm nervous and excited."
Courtney Had One Small Problem With Her Daughter
Courteney's enthusiasm for having Coco on set did not mean she suddenly had an easy time getting her daughter into family photos. Speaking to Entertainment Tonight at the Evil Genius premiere, Courtney was asked whether working together allowed her to spend some quality time with Coco.
"You know what, I loved seeing her on the set. She's such a good actor, and it was great to see her, and it was really fun. I just wish I could get her to take a picture with me."
When the interviewer asked, "She won't take a photo with Mama Bear?" Courteney answered, "No." The exchange makes what happened in Toronto particularly amusing. Coco did, in fact, pose with her mother at TIFF.

The Rare Mother-Daughter Moment Appearance Comes Into Focus
By September 12, Coco was alongside Courteney as she celebrated the premiere of Evil Genius. According to InStyle, it was a "very adorable, very rare appearance" for the mother and daughter.

Courteney had also appeared at other TIFF events the previous day, while Coco’s presence added a family dimension to the weekend. Coco has a small role in Evil Genius, making the festival appearance a chance for the two to celebrate a project they literally shared.

According to InStyle, the pair hugged and stood arm-in-arm, while their ’90s-inspired black looks added a nostalgic touch. They later shared more affectionate moments at the Road to the Golden Globes Kick-Off Party, including one tender photo of Coco resting her head against Courteney’s shoulder.

But Coco Had Already Been Turning Heads on Her Own
And there is another reason the TIFF appearance stands out. Just two days earlier, Coco had stepped onto the New York fashion scene by herself, attending the Chanel U.S. launch of Coco Mademoiselle Crush Absolu at Balthazar during New York Fashion Week on September 10.
For that appearance, Coco wore a delicate white slip dress with sheer detailing and thigh-high white stockings, completing the look with black pointed-toe shoes and a quilted black chain-strap handbag.

A close-up from the Chanel event offered an even clearer look at Coco, including her long, softly waved blonde hair and a small tattoo near her left shoulder. Her solo appearance also reignited the familiar online question of which parent Coco resembles most.
Entertainment Tonight highlighted the resemblance conversation in its coverage of the Chanel event. The post prompted plenty of debate, with one commenter arguing, "She's Courtney, but the eyes are David's!"

Another commenter suggested, "Yeah, they literally have opposite hair and eye color. Fraternal twins, maybe lol." A third person disagreed, writing, "No, she's not. She looks more like her dad, and the Arquettes like Patricia and Rosanna. But she's lovely!"
The discussion continued on Instagram, where one person wrote, "Not even, Coco has blonde hair & brown eyes, opposed to Courtney' dark brown hair & beautiful blue eyes [sic] 😮"
Another commenter said, "She looks like a young Kate winslet [sic]." A third added, "They barely look related. Do people not remember what courteney [sic] looked like in the 90s?"
The two appearances offered a different picture of Coco's place in the public eye. At Chanel, she was there entirely on her own; at TIFF, she was part of a family moment tied directly to her mother's long-awaited film.
Ultimately, Courteney’s Hawaiian getaway offers another glimpse of the actress embracing life on her own terms, while her candid reflections on aging show how her relationship with beauty has evolved over the years.
