Prosecutors said Jason and his co-conspirators diverted millions of dollars, including more than $8.5 million that Jason used for personal expenses.

However, Jason's prison term came to an end after President Donald Trump commuted his sentence on March 28, 2025.

An official clemency document signed by Donald ordered Jason's immediate release and stated that he would serve no further fines, restitution, probation, or other conditions for the specified federal offenses.
