Prince Lyrik Carter, the three-year-old son of the late Aaron Carter, made his first appearance on the red carpet on April 9, 2025, setting social media abuzz.
He attended the premiere of Paramount+'s new documentary, "The Carters: Hurts to Love You," with his mother, Melanie Martin.

The event marked a public moment for the little boy, who has largely remained out of the spotlight since his dad's passing.
Martin and her son posed for photos together at the screening, drawing attention to the documentary's emotional weight and his strong resemblance to his late father.
In the photo, Martin wore a form-fitting, long-sleeve gray dress with a high slit. Her hair was styled in long, loose waves, and she completed the look with subtle accessories and a soft glam makeup look.

Meanwhile, her son wore a black leather jacket over a black shirt and dark jeans. He wore a pair of black and white sneakers and sported a blonde hairstyle similar to Carter's during his youth.

Aaron Carter died at 34 on November 5, 2022. A representative from his management confirmed that he was found dead in his home in Lancaster, California.
While the Los Angeles Police Department stated that a suspicious death had occurred at the address, they did not confirm the identity of the deceased, and no cause of death was given at the time.

Carter, born on December 7, 1987, in Tampa, Florida, rose to fame at a young age as a singer and television personality. He was the younger brother of Backstreet Boys member Nick Carter.

He made his Broadway debut in "Seussical the Musical" in 2001 and was part of the off-Broadway production "The Fantasticks" for a lengthy run. Carter also appeared in reality television, notably in "House of Carters" alongside his siblings in 2006.
He competed on the 2009 season of ABC's "Dancing With the Stars," finishing in fifth place, and took part in the 2012 cooking competition "Rachael vs. Guy: Celebrity Cook-Off" on the Food Network.

Throughout his career, Carter was open about his personal struggles. In 2017, he discussed his substance use on "The Doctors" and revealed in 2022 that he had checked into rehab for the fifth time so he could regain custody of his son.
He had entered rehab in 2017 following an arrest on suspicion of driving under the influence and marijuana charges.

Just before his death, Carter appeared on the "No Jumper" podcast and reflected on his career and outlook. "I enjoyed all of that, and I'm back to do that — that's what I'm back to do."
"I don't really care about [stardom] because I've had so many levels in the industry, and fame and fortune, and highs and lows — it's like a roller coaster. … I'm a singer, a songwriter, a performer, and this is what I do, and I'm never going to give up on it," he stated.

Carter's passing sparked tributes across the entertainment world. Actor and singer Tyler Hilton shared on X, "This kid had such a spark. Known him for years and always really liked him, he was warm and really funny. Loved putting on a show and he was good at it."
The band New Kids on the Block also posted, "We are shocked and saddened about the sudden passing of Aaron Carter. Sending prayers to the Carter family. Rest in peace, Aaron."
