Adam Sandler brought his signature style to a family night out, while his wife, Jackie, and daughters Sadie and Sunny dressed up for a milestone premiere.

The Sandlers gathered at New York's Plaza Hotel on August 10, 2026, for Netflix's "Don't Say Good Luck." Their coordinated family photos soon gave social media users plenty to discuss.

Adam, Jackie, Sadie and Sunny posed together at the New York premiere, with each family member bringing a different style to the red carpet.

Adam, 59, kept his look characteristically relaxed. He wore a bright blue short-sleeved polo covered in a pink flamingo print. He paired the shirt with loose blue athletic-style pants and red-and-gray sneakers.

Jackie opted for a more polished look in a fitted, sleeveless black midi dress with a scoop neckline. She carried a metallic gold clutch and completed the outfit with strappy heels. Her long brown hair was worn loose with a center part.

Sadie, 20, also wore black, choosing a floor-length dress with thin straps and a fitted, satin-like bodice. Her dark hair fell straight past her shoulders, while black shoes completed her monochromatic look.

Sunny, 17, stood out in a floor-length dark green slip-style gown. The dress featured thin, light-colored straps and matching trim. She wore her dark hair loose in soft waves and accessorized with understated jewelry.

In the family photos, Jackie stood beside Adam, while Sadie and Sunny gathered on his other side. The four stood close together with their arms around one another as they smiled for photographers.

Adam and Jackie were also photographed together, giving a closer look at the contrast between his casual outfit and her black dress.

After photos from the premiere circulated online, viewers weighed in on everything from Jackie's appearance to Sunny's green gown and the daughters' resemblance to their parents.

On Facebook, some users speculated about Jackie based on her appearance in the photos. One netizen said, "OK, I have to ask. Is Jackie pregnant?" A second shared, "Is she expecting?" while a third wrote, "Awww they are having another baby 💙."

Other commenters turned their attention to Sunny and the family's red-carpet appearance. One person remarked, "The daughter in green is trying too hard to show off her 'inappropriate' dress."

Another shared, "Boy sure does have beautiful daughters. Good luck on the film. Adam." A different netizen praised Sunny's look, writing, "Sunny is gorgeous and that dress is beautiful."

On Instagram, users focused on the daughters' resemblance to their parents. Adam and Jackie Sandler Supported Sunny's New Film

The premiere marked an important moment for Sunny, who stars in "Don't Say Good Luck." Adam and Jackie attended not only as her parents. Both are producers of the Netflix film, according to Netflix's Tudum. The movie also reflects a wider family-oriented production.

Director Julia Hart co-wrote the screenplay with her husband and frequent collaborator, Jordan Horowitz, and Laura Hankin.

Horowitz is also among the film's producers, alongside Adam, Jackie, Brian Kavanaugh-Jones and Fred Berger. The family collaboration was part of what appealed to Sunny.

"Knowing that Julia and Jordan make movies together, and that all my family does is make movies together, made it a perfect match," Sunny told Tudum.

Netflix also noted that family members of cast and crew appeared as extras, while family photos from people involved in the production were incorporated into the movie.

What Is 'Don't Say Good Luck' About?

Sunny plays Sophie Birenbaum, a high school student who is preparing for the spotlight after landing the lead in her school musical. At the same time, her family faces a painful development when her mother Elizabeth's cancer returns.

Hart told Tudum in its July 23 feature that the filmmakers had Sunny in mind from the outset.

"Sunny Sandler was the first and only person we thought of to play Sophie," Hart said. Sunny also connected with the project immediately.

"I knew as soon as I heard about the idea that I loved it, believed in it, and wanted to do it," she said. "Then I met with Julia, and it really made me want to do it."

The role requires Sunny to portray the silliness, embarrassment and angst of adolescence alongside the heavier emotions that come with Sophie's family situation. Hart said Sunny rose to that challenge.

"I knew she was going to be great, but she absolutely exceeded all of my expectations as an actor, and also as a singer, a hard worker, and an amazing leader on set," the director said.

Melanie Lynskey plays Sophie's mother, Elizabeth. Max Greenfield plays her father, Ted. Hart said Sunny and Lynskey took care of each other while working through some of the film's most difficult scenes. Sunny also praised her costar's ability to draw emotion from her.

"Melanie can bring so much out of you that you don't even know you have," Sunny said.

The story has roots in real life. According to Tudum, Hankin wrote the original draft based on her experience of getting the lead in her high school musical around the same time her mother's cancer returned. Hart and Horowitz later collaborated on a rewrite.

That connection brought added responsibility for Sunny. "That was the hardest part for me, to portray a person that actually went through this," she said. "It was also the most beautiful part of it."

The ensemble also includes Jack Champion, Stephanie Beatriz, Scarlett Estevez, Emma McNulty, Elyse Bell, Bebe Neuwirth, Steve Buscemi and Jon Lovitz. "Don't Say Good Luck" arrives on Netflix August 14.

Adam Sandler Supports His Daughters' Acting Ambitions

Sunny's starring role comes as both Sandler daughters continue building their acting careers. Adam discussed Sadie and Sunny's ambitions with E! News at the 2025 Gotham Film Awards in December.

"They're both really good kids and they love acting and they're kind of into it, wanting to do it with their life," he said. "So just pulling for them, want them to have a good, happy life."

Sadie and Sunny have already appeared in projects with their father, including "Happy Gilmore 2" and "You Are So Not Invited to My Bat Mitzvah." Sadie also played Adam's daughter in "Jay Kelly."

Still, Adam said they are choosing their own direction. "They listen to me and then they've got their own path they wanna do," he explained.

One path they do not plan to follow is their father's background in stand-up comedy. "I was a standup comedian and they don't wanna get in that," Adam said. "They wanna just act."

He said he was comfortable letting them make that choice. "They're really funny, nice kids and whatever the hell they wanna do, I want them to be happy," he added.

For Adam, working with his daughters has also brought the emotions of being a parent onto the set.

In a separate July 2025 interview with the outlet, he discussed watching Sadie and Sunny perform in "Happy Gilmore 2."

"Oh, my god, you're just relieved. Once they do it well, nothing feels better as a parent," Adam said. He compared the feeling to watching a child get a hit during a baseball game.

Despite his own decades of experience, Adam said he does not routinely offer his daughters unsolicited advice. "Only if it lends that way, if they ask," he said. "But most of the time you're just happy that they're feeling good."

That approach reflects what Adam has said matters most as Sunny and Sadie Sandler pursue careers of their own. "I just like being around them, whether it's on set or at home," he told the outlet. "When we're clicking, it's the best."
