The famous brothers made their latest premiere a proud family celebration, but the dashing young man between them inspired the most breathless compliments of the evening.

Casey Affleck, 51, walked the red carpet with his son Indiana Affleck, 22, and brother Ben Affleck at the "Company" screening in Venice, Italy, on September 8, 2026.

Their rare appearance at the 83rd Venice International Film Festival was already special, but Indiana's striking look and the surprising truth about his casting gave everyone even more to gush over.

Three Afflecks Made Venice a Family Affair

Casey arrived at the Sala Grande to promote a movie that brought his professional and family lives beautifully close together. He directed, co-wrote, and stars in "Company," while Indiana and his younger son, 18-year-old Atticus Affleck, both appear onscreen.

Atticus was not on the Venice Lido red carpet, but Uncle Ben proudly joined Casey and Indiana for the cameras. Ben placed one arm around his eldest nephew as they posed with some other stars, like actress Emily Alyn Lind.

In other shots, all three men appeared with the cast of the film, showing off their sharp black-and-white styles. However, each man approached it differently. Casey went completely monochromatic in a slim-cut black suit with silky lapels, a black dress shirt, and a matching tie.

His gleaming black patent leather shoes completed an elegant look that suited both his role as the film's star and the proud director presenting his work. Ben kept his own outfit wonderfully classic, pairing a black suit with a crisp white collared shirt.

Then there was Indiana, standing taller than both his father and his uncle and looking remarkably assured near two men who have spent decades on red carpets. His outfit had personality stitched into every inch, and it gave the formal Affleck uniform a wonderfully youthful twist.

The "What Comes Around" actor wore a black double-breasted suit decorated with white lace along the wrists, lapels, and hem. Matching trim swept down the sides of his trousers like racing stripes, creating a sporty detail within an otherwise romantic design.

Commanding the center of the frame, Indiana Affleck brought an artistic flair to the red carpet in an asymmetrical black wrap jacket trimmed with ornate white braided embroidery along the lapels. Indiana added a white dress shirt, a black criss-cross tie, and white pointed dress shoes. It was imaginative without feeling overdone, and against all that traditional tailoring, the lace made him impossible to overlook.

Adjusting his jacket mid-stride, Indiana Affleck displayed an eye for subtle ornamentation, complementing his crossover lapels with matching scalloped lace trimming lining each cuff and a trio of silver and dark statement rings across his fingers. His brunette hair brought another dose of irresistible character. Worn in a middle part and falling to his chin, it gave Indiana the unmistakable air of a '90s heartthrob arriving for his first huge premiere.

There was also no missing the family resemblance. Indiana carried features that reminded people of both his father and his uncle, yet his longer hair and individual styling ensured that he looked completely at ease in his own skin.

As soon as the pictures went live, the response on Instagram was gloriously direct. One person gushed, "Oh wow he’s handsome," while another enthusiastically declared, "Okay so HE’s the HOTTEST one! 😍"

Others studied Indiana's face and decided that he carried a particularly lovely mixture of the two famous brothers. One commenter observed, "Uncle Ben’s ears and dad’s eyes. 🙌"

The discussion soon expanded beyond Ben and Casey, with people also noticing how strongly Indiana appeared to favor his mother, Summer Phoenix. The comparisons were especially touching because his features seemed to carry something recognizable from both sides of his family.

Beneath a second Instagram post, one person wrote, "❤️to see family resemblances...the brothers look so similar while Ben favors their mother and Casey more with their dad. Casey’s handsome son looks a lot like his mom."

Another commenter addressed him personally, adding, "@indy_affleck What a handsome boy; he looks just like his beautiful mother.🙌"

Indiana may have looked entirely comfortable in the glamorous photographs, but acting in his father's film was never part of some carefully mapped family plan. Casey's account of how both sons joined "Company" made their presence in Venice feel even more charming.

Casey Had to Persuade His Reluctant Leading Men

During the film's press conference, a reporter playfully asked whether Casey's sons had been dragged "kicking and screaming" into the family business. She also asked to hear from Indiana and Atticus, who were sitting in the front row but off-camera.

Casey jokingly blocked that idea, reminding her that although he was the director, he was "still a father." He then conceded that her description of the boys' path into the production was not entirely inaccurate.

Neither Indiana nor Atticus had wanted to be involved at first. While Casey repeatedly worked through the screenplay at home, however, he asked his sons to read the younger and older teenage roles.

Their father immediately saw something special in those informal readings. "They were fantastic," he said, although he still had no plans to place them in the movie, and they had no interest in joining it.

That changed once Casey reached pre-production without having cast those parts. Indiana and Atticus eventually agreed to step in, making a decision that turned the project into an experience their father clearly treasures.

"They were amazing, and it made it the best professional experience of my life," Casey said.

This collaboration came from the father-son bonds that had been shaping Casey's creative life for years. His relationship with Indiana and Atticus previously influenced the writing of his 2019 film "Light of My Life."

"When I was writing, one of the things that I was experiencing in my own life is you cannot protect your kids from everything in the world, but you can prepare them to protect themselves," he told Us Weekly in June 2019.

Casey explained that parents had to find a balance, since holding too tightly could also become harmful. That thoughtful approach extended to the way he and Summer raised their sons following their 2017 split.

He freely acknowledged that co-parenting without disagreements was virtually impossible. Two people could care more deeply about their children than anything else while still carrying different ideas from their own upbringings.

Still, his admiration for Summer remained beautifully clear. "Luckily, Summer is and always has been an amazing mother. She’s loving and fun and the boys worship her, so I think that even in our differences, she and I have found a nice balance."

Casey also said that he and Summer were "super sensitive" about introducing new partners to Indiana and Atticus. Their shared priority was protecting the security the boys felt within their family.

"My kids are really, really sweet and I have such a strong relationship with their mom that I don’t think there would be any feeling ever that, like, 'Oh, mom is being replaced,'" he explained.

Years later, Indiana and Atticus were no longer simply inspiring their father's stories from home. They had stepped directly into one of them, bringing a tender family connection to a film Casey created during an intensely painful year.

A Joyful Premiere Carried a Heartbreaking Dedication

At the Venice press conference, Casey revealed that his and Ben's father, Timothy "Tim" Byers Affleck, had died earlier in 2026. The precise date of Tim's death was not disclosed.

Their mother, Christopher "Chris" Anne Affleck, died in June at 83 after a six-month battle with pancreatic cancer. Casey dedicated "Company" to both parents, making its grand Venice unveiling as emotional as it was celebratory.

"It's dedicated to my parents because I lost both my mom and my dad this year, and they were very important to me," he said, according to Page Six.

Casey had desperately wanted them to see the finished film. "I really wanted to show this movie to them, and I didn’t get to. I think they would have liked it."

"The good thing about being an artist, the best thing maybe, is that you can take all of the hardest experiences in your life and put it into your work, and it just makes you better."

For Casey, that required honesty and the courage to sit with emotions he might never completely understand. He called the opportunity to place those feelings into something he was making "a blessing."

That emotional dedication gave the family red carpet an even deeper sweetness. Ben came to support his brother, while Indiana represented the next generation of a family whose love and loss had become inseparable from "Company."

Yet the evening still allowed room for pure joy, and Indiana supplied plenty of it. With his proud father, his uncle's arm around him, and admirers swooning over every photograph, the 22-year-old gave Venice a fresh Affleck leading man to adore.
