Demi Moore, 63, Shares New Photos from Daughter Tallulah's Wedding — and Her Mother-of-the-Bride Look Is Sparking Debate — Photos
The bride had her fairytale gown and a swoon-worthy celebration, but her famous mother's wardrobe has wedding watchers asking some decidedly awkward questions.
Demi Moore, 63, shared new photos on October 23, 2026, from her daughter Tallulah Willis' August 8 wedding to musician Justin Acee at the family's home in Hailey, Idaho.
Between the affectionate family moments and lavish fashions, commenters found themselves debating whether the mother of the bride had dressed a little too much like the main attraction, and an unfortunate comparison made matters worse.

Demi Dressed for a Grand Entrance, but the Gloves Got There First
A daughter's backyard wedding sounds like an occasion for something lovely and restrained. Unless, of course, her mother is Demi, in which case the backyard had better make room for a train.
The "The Substance" actress shared the pictures on Instagram, giving followers another glimpse of a celebration she clearly hasn't finished swooning over. And honestly, with grounds that lush and flowers that glorious, who could blame her?
Her teal-blue Balenciaga gown was a magnificent piece of theater. With a strapless neckline, a billowing silhouette, and fabric sweeping behind her, Demi looked ready to receive visiting royalty somewhere between the ceremony and the cake.
She wore her long dark hair in loose waves and added coordinating heels. Then came the bright blue opera gloves, and the fantasy encountered a small domestic emergency. One commenter wrote, "The gloves look like cleaning gloves. So bad." Another asked, "Rubber gloves?"

Oh, dear. You put on a couture gown, prepare for a beautiful family portrait, and people start wondering whether you've come to tackle the oven. The gloves' vivid color certainly made them impossible to overlook.
Against that sumptuous dress, though, they were a rather bossy accessory, pulling the eye away from the lovely neckline and straight toward her hands.
Still, the gown had its moment in a photograph of Demi walking through the grounds with two young wedding guests. The enormous skirt swept across the grass, bringing a delicious touch of old Hollywood to an otherwise tender little scene.
But Demi had packed another outfit, and this one raised a question that wedding guests have been arguing about long before anyone could leave an Instagram comment.
In another photograph, she wore a white textured minidress with a fitted strapless bodice and a sculptural skirt, finished with white pointed-toe heels. She posed beside actress Lucy Liu against a spectacular display of orange and red flowers.

The shape was flirty, the setting was gorgeous, and Demi looked fabulous. But darling, of all the colors available to a woman with access to a very serious wardrobe, she chose the one guaranteed to start a wedding argument.
One commenter asked, "Why is Demi wearing white on her daughter's wedding weekend???" Another wrote, "Why did you wear white? Only the bride should."
The photos also caught Demi enjoying a playful moment on the lawn with the newlyweds and a guest. Everyone in the frame was there to celebrate, but some people looking at the pictures had already appointed themselves guardians of the bridal spotlight. Another commenter wrote, "Looks like Mom is overshadowing the bride."
That's a stern verdict to hand down over a minidress, although the outfit certainly gave people an opening. A sculptural white dress on the mother of the bride was always going to attract more scrutiny than, say, a discreet little floral number.

Of course, discreet little floral numbers were hardly the order of the day here. And before anyone declares that Tallulah was upstaged, her wedding gown deserves a proper hearing. Her mother may have brought the drama, but the bride had 712 hours of couture craftsmanship on her side.
Tallulah's Bridal Fantasy Had a Very Personal Family Connection
Tallulah's route to that extraordinary dress began with a romance that was rather less formal. Her first meeting with Justin involved airport baggage claim and a little dance she performed when she spotted him. The writer, artist, and advocate, now 32, had matched with the musician while she was staying at her childhood home in Idaho.
He suggested coffee immediately, but they had to settle for getting acquainted from a distance. Speaking to Vogue for its August 14 account of the wedding, Tallulah recalled, "We texted until 2 a.m. and decided to get on the phone."
By 4 a.m., they were on FaceTime. They spoke every day afterward and decided their first meeting would happen when she arrived at LAX. Justin collected her at Delta baggage claim in January 2023. Tallulah remembered, "I did a little weird dance move when I saw him."
He laughed, and they shared their first kiss outside. They got engaged in December 2024, then began planning the wedding in January 2026. Eloping was considered, but Tallulah had an appetite for something considerably more fabulous. "Deep down, I really loved the chance to be an eleganza," she explained.
Well, she chose the right family for it. The couple worked with Sun Valley event planner Heather Minor, choosing the backyard of Tallulah's childhood home for the celebration. "It's the place where I learned to run free and be the dreamer that I am today," she said.
Justin had spent plenty of time there with her, too, making the property part of their relationship. The setting was settled, and Demi soon delivered some news about the dress. Balenciaga was willing to create Tallulah's wedding gown.
The bride sent references from Cristóbal Balenciaga's 1950s designs, then considered about seven sketches. She chose elements from her favorites, including jeweled petals on the skirt and sweeping drapery around the hips. She didn't see the gown again until she entered Pierpaolo Piccioli's office in Paris.
After adjustments for Tallulah's five-foot-four proportions, she tried it with leather gloves and a veil. The finished creation required those remarkable 712 hours of work. And its neckline? That was inspired by a sculptural Balenciaga look Demi had worn to a Vanity Fair Oscar party.
The bride left her neck bare, so the curved bodice could command attention, wearing large diamond teardrop earrings from XIV Karats. Her beauty choices were softer than the gown's grand proportions might suggest.
Justin, meanwhile, wore a bespoke Dzojchen tuxedo styled by Masha Mandzuka. The label also made tuxedos for his father and two brothers, working from measurements alone. Everyone was dressed for the occasion. Demi, however, still had something up her sleeve, and for once, the accessory wasn't going to get the attention.
Mom's Secret Surprise Was Enough to Make the Bride Forget Her Nerves
The ceremony began at 6 p.m. on a small island in the backyard, connected to the rest of the property by a wooden bridge. Tallulah got ready in Demi's bedroom before stylist Brad Goreski accompanied her on the walk toward the bridge.
Brad, who works with both mother and daughter, helped get the bride ready for her entrance. Across the bridge waited Justin and their friend Jeremy, who was officiating.
Tallulah reached the moss-covered platform with her heart racing. The couple had arranged a meditation at the beginning of the ceremony to help steady their nerves, but Jeremy soon had an announcement they hadn't expected.
Someone special had written something for them. Tallulah looked toward the front row and caught her mother smiling. Then a guitar sounded through the speakers, followed by Chris Martin singing a song created for the couple.
For a woman who had loved Coldplay since middle school, this was a spectacular surprise. She had even walked down the aisle to the band's "A Message" just moments earlier.
"My mom pulled off something incredible by facilitating this surprise, this gift, and Justin and I started laughing out of pure bliss," Tallulah recalled. "I will never forget that moment."

The couple exchanged their own vows, then rings. Tallulah's attention stayed fixed on Justin, even as their loved ones became emotional around them. "I am told that there was not a dry eye out there," she said. "But I couldn't say for sure because my eyes were glued on the man across from me."
After they were pronounced husband and wife, Justin lifted her off the platform, dipped her, and kissed her. They cheered with their guests before running hand in hand back across the bridge. The newlyweds then escaped into the house for a brief private moment before cocktails. Demi and Tallulah's sister Scout Willis signed the marriage license as witnesses.
A Question About Bruce Willis Needed a Happier Answer
Months later, Demi was still holding on to the feeling of that day. Alongside her new photos, she wrote, "The love between these two, the joy they share, and the incredible village that surrounds them is something I'm still feeling months later."
She also thanked the people who helped make it happen, acknowledging the care that went into the celebration. Yet amid all the conversation about dresses, some followers were searching the pictures for Bruce Willis.
On Facebook, one netizen wrote, "Beautiful pictures but also sad to not see Bruce Willis in any pictures." Another added, "Sad that Bruce isnt in ANY of these pictures [sic]."
Bruce did attend Tallulah's wedding, and a photograph of him from the celebration had already been shared. His absence from Demi's latest selection didn't mean he had missed his daughter's big day.
For Tallulah, the memories were everything she had hoped for. "I am overwhelmed with gratitude and delight to begin this next chapter," she said. "The wedding was more than my wildest dreams."
And the photos below have all that happiness, along with the couture that sent the comments in a rather less sentimental direction. Enjoy the bride's fairytale entrance, admire Mom's grand blue gown, and see whether those gloves and that white mini deserve quite the scolding they received.
