Presley, the eldest child of Supermodel Cindy Crawford and Businessman Rande Gerber, died Sunday, September 20, at Resolutions Living Mental Health Recovery Residence in Santa Monica. He was 27.

Presley Had Only Just Arrived at the Santa Monica Facility

Resolutions Living describes itself as a mental health recovery and sober-living residence in Santa Monica, designed to provide residents with long-term housing and support as they work toward independent living.

The facility says its program includes individualized recovery plans and support for people dealing with addiction and mental health issues. The residence is located in northern Santa Monica and, according to its website, is a three-story property with ocean and city views. Its listed amenities include 24/7 on-site staff, chef-prepared meals, a fitness gym, and an in-home movie theater, alongside outdoor spaces and community activities.

The facility's own description emphasizes a quiet and supportive environment where residents can focus on recovery. Presley had not been there for long. According to NBC News' reporting, Presley checked into Resolutions Living at approximately 10 p.m. Saturday, just hours before emergency responders were called to the property.

That makes the timing of Presley’s arrival particularly significant. He had been at the facility for only about 11 and a half hours when the emergency response began Sunday morning.

Then, Two 911 Calls Reported Two Different Emergencies

At approximately 9:35 a.m. Sunday, Santa Monica police received an emergency dispatch concerning a cardiac arrest in the 1000 block of Berkeley Street. But that was not the only description of what was happening at the address. According to recordings obtained by People, another dispatch indicated that first responders were responding to an overdose at the same location.

The two descriptions were ultimately connected to the same medical emergency involving Presley, who was staying at the facility. Santa Monica police responded to the property and discovered Presley dead when they arrived, according to a statement released by the department.

The sequence leaves a striking timeline: Presley checked into the facility at around 10 p.m. Saturday, an emergency response was dispatched at 9:35 a.m. Sunday, and his death was officially pronounced just 10 minutes later.

The Los Angeles County Medical Examiner confirmed that Presley's death was pronounced at 9:45 a.m. on September 20, 2026, by responding paramedics. In a statement to People, the Medical Examiner's office said the investigation remained ongoing and that only limited information was available at that stage. Santa Monica police are the investigating law enforcement agency.

Authorities have not said exactly when Presley became unresponsive or how long he had been dead before he was discovered. A law enforcement source told NBC News that Presley was found in the room where he had been sleeping and was "cold to the touch," suggesting that he had likely been dead for some time before he was found.

The troubling details surrounding Presley's final hours have left questions about what happened before he was found unresponsive. Yet away from that timeline, his relationships tell another part of his story — one filled with young love, abrupt breakups, and declarations that once sounded remarkably certain. And one of the women from his past would eventually return to that story in an especially heartbreaking way.

Cayley King Came Before Charlotte D'Alessio

Presley's early public dating history included Model Cayley King, whom he dated in 2017. By December of that year, however, E! Online reported that Presley and Cayley had split — and another model was already entering the picture.

The then-18-year-old Presley was photographed kissing Charlotte D'Alessio in Malibu. A source told the outlet, "Presley and Cayley King are no longer together," while another insider said Presley and Charlotte were casually dating. The connection apparently wasn't completely new, as Charlotte had reportedly known Presley for years through his younger sister, Kaia Gerber.

"He has known Charlotte forever through Kaia," the source said. "They are casually dating and have been hanging out for the last week." At the time, however, Presley reportedly wasn't looking to settle into anything too serious. "Presley doesn't want to be tied down and in a serious relationship," the source continued. "He feels like he's young and wants to have fun."

Charlotte had already attracted attention in her own right. According to E!, she was discovered by modeling agency Wilhelmina after a photo of her with Josie Canseco at Coachella in 2015 went viral. "Coachella really got me started in modeling," Charlotte previously told Fashionista.

Before that romance began, Presley and Cayley had spent time together over the summer of 2017. Cayley appeared in a July photo with Presley and Kaia, and that September she posted a picture kissing Presley's cheek with the caption, "bring bae to work day?" E! noted that it appeared to be their final posted photo together.

Presley and Charlotte, meanwhile, would go on to have considerably more history than that initial report suggested. According to The List, the pair dated for much of 2018. Years later, old memories of their time together would resurface under circumstances neither could have imagined. But first, there were several other women in Presley's life.

More Relationships Followed

In a February 2025 look at Presley's dating history, The List reported that after Charlotte, he dated Los Angeles native Cameron Rorrison from 2018 until 2020. Presley was also linked to Model Sydney Brooke and English Model Hana Cross.

People separately reported that Presley and Sydney were linked in 2020, when they were both working at Cafe Habana, the Malibu restaurant owned by his father, Rande. Then came a romance that Presley himself described in unusually emphatic terms.

Presley Said Lexi Wood Made Him the 'Happiest' He Had Ever Been

In November 2022, Presley went Instagram official with Model Lexi Wood, and there was very little ambiguity about how he was feeling. As People reported at the time, Presley shared an Instagram carousel featuring the pair kissing.

Playing over it was an audio clip with a declaration that seemed to say everything about the new relationship: "Guys [sic] I did it! I've found the person that makes me the happiest I've ever been." Presley captioned the post, "Guys I did it… ❤️♾️❤️," while Lexi responded, "loving you." She wasn't exactly hiding her feelings, either. On her own page, Lexi wrote, "if [sic] you didn't already know, I'm in love."

The two then answered questions about their romance on Instagram Stories. Asked why they had decided to make their relationship public, Lexi said, "I always told you guys that when I was in love that I would share it and we've arrived. Your girl is in love with this guy [sic]."

Their beginning, she admitted, had been "funny" because they started as friends. The pair said they had originally met through a mutual friend roughly seven years earlier. Presley, however, suggested his feelings had been there for far longer than their official relationship.

"I have been in love with her since the day I laid eyes on her," he said. According to Lexi, it took Presley "less than a week" after their first date to ask her to take things to the next level. The relationship was also moving into Presley's family life.

Lexi met his mom, Cindy, and dad, Rande, and she and Presley joined his parents at events, including the Casamigos Halloween bash on October 28, when they dressed in "The Flintstones"-inspired costumes.

"Everything's so natural," Lexi said about meeting each other's families, and the couple was apparently thinking well beyond dating. Although they were not engaged, People reported that they discussed living together and marriage, with Presley describing eventually tying the knot as a "for sure" plan. That makes what happened next particularly striking.

The Romance Ended Almost as Quickly as It Became Public

Just one month after Presley and Lexi made their romance Instagram official, it was over. E! Online reported in December 2022 that multiple sources confirmed the models had called it quits. "They realized very quickly it wasn't going to be a long-term relationship," one source said. Meanwhile, an insider close to Lexi told E! that she initiated the breakup.

Neither Presley nor Lexi publicly commented on the split, according to the outlet, but both removed traces of one another from their Instagram pages — including the post announcing their romance. Around that same time, Presley appeared with his parents and Actor Austin Butler, who was then dating Kaia, at a Celine fashion show in Los Angeles on December 8.

The List would later reference rumors that Presley and Lexi had been engaged, though People's contemporaneous November 2022 report specifically said the couple was not engaged while discussing marriage as a then-possible future step.

Then Isabella Jones Entered the Picture

By early 2024, Presley appeared to have another significant woman in his life: Social Media Personality Isabella Jones, known online as Bananablue17. The relationship initially sparked dating rumors before becoming increasingly public.

In June 2024, Isabella seemingly put those rumors to rest when she shared a since-expired Instagram Story featuring Presley with the words "my love @presleygerber." Then, on July 2, that same year, she gave him an even bigger public declaration.

According to The List, Isabella shared a carousel of photos and videos for Presley's birthday and wrote, "happy birthday baby! i love you so much my everything [sic]." Presley reciprocated only 18 days later for Isabella's birthday.

"Happy birthday baby!!! I love you so much. You have changed my life in all the best ways," he wrote alongside a carousel of his own. Based on the sources provided, Isabella was the most recently reported romantic partner in Presley's life. But there was another layer to their romance, and it led directly back to someone from years earlier.

Isabella's Connection to Charlotte Raised Eyebrows

According to The List, Isabella and Charlotte had previously been close friends. That became notable because Charlotte, of course, had dated Presley years earlier. The outlet reported that Isabella and Charlotte no longer followed one another on Instagram and that some social media users took issue with Isabella dating her former friend's ex. One commenter wrote beneath Isabella's birthday post for Presley: "Wasn't he charlottes ex and you charlottes best friends [sic]???"

Another person commented on an August 2024 carousel: "dating @charlottedalessio's ex is crazy and him dating all of his sisters friends is bizarre [sic]." The overlapping relationships made the situation unusually tangled. And after Presley's death, Charlotte's response made their own long-ago connection feel anything but forgotten.

Charlotte's Tribute Revisited Their Years Together

Following Presley's death, Charlotte filled her Instagram Stories with old memories, sharing a series of throwback images from a much younger chapter of their lives. Some focused on Presley alone, while others showed the former couple together — years after their own romantic relationship had ended.

One throwback showed Presley relaxing with a small white dog, capturing an ordinary private moment rather than a posed public appearance.
